All I can say is it would be best not to start trying to conceive until you can accept the idea of gaining 25 lbs.

I started at a healthy weight with my first pregnancy and I gained 50 lbs (had a 5 lb 14 oz baby)...started off 10 lbs heavier with my second and gained 40 lbs (7 lb baby). I breasted both and retained a lot of weight for the first 6-12 months (I lost 20 right away with both kids). I am now down to my weight before #2, without having to resort to any dieting (I have always exercised).

It is very possible to have a healthy weight gain if you don't go off the rails. My problem was my first 12 weeks feeling so nauseous I couldn't stomach the idea of healthy food, then by the time the third trimester came around I just didn't care anymore so I ate whatever I wanted. If I decide to have a third I will do things very different.
