Before, I stopped 11 times on a one mile hike (one way) with 800' elevation gain (at home altitude).
... Now, I climb 14,000 foot mountains with much more elevation gain. Next one is Thursday!
Before, I used a neck extender for my size 20" neck dress shirts.
    ... Now I need a 16. (4x>L/XL)
Before, I stretched out my t-shirts and sweatshirts in order to fit into them.
... Now, well, they're at Goodwill.
Before, I regularly stopped for fast food on the way home from work.
... Now, I hardly remember where they are, because I have no desire or habit prompting me.
Before, I was often left out of physical recreation activities, mostly sidelined by myself.
    ... Now, I lead them.

    Bonus
... Now, I can now approach challenging physical activities and social situations
with at least enough confidence to allow myself to try, and show myself that I can succeed.
That alone breeds confidence and motivation for further growth.

    1. I couldn't jump rope for 30 seconds. Now I can do 6 sets of 30 seconds each, with a 30 second rest in between. This week I'm going to try for 7.

    2. I couldn't do a single push up. Now I can do 15 in a row.

    3. I couldn't go through a whole day without either sleeping in, taking a nap, or having to fight off the urge. Now I have enough energy for a whole day. Plus, now I'm tired at NIGHT, when I used to have trouble sleeping.

    4. I've started to actually ENJOY and CRAVE water and healthy foods.

    5. I have more confidence in my ability to accomplish a goal. This is partly because I've been doing well on my reading goals, but it's also because of losing weight. I have ADHD, and I used to feel completely hopeless, like I was never able to make any difference in my life no matter how hard I tried, and now I've FINALLY made some breakthroughs after ten years of beating my head against a brick wall. :)

Here are some I would like to say I could do:
    elisabat said:
I couldn't walk bare legged without chafing off the skin on my inner thighs. Now I walk the dog wearing a mini dress with no tights.
    JulieDerda said:
    Wear my wedding ring comfortably.

Darn it! Y'all are making me want to go workout, and I just took a shower! :P

4 Shop with my wife and kids and not wait in the car!
5 When i'm bored, lace up the shoes and go for a walk, not eat junk food on the couch!

    1. I wore my first bikini ever three weekends ago. And rocked it.

    2. I lift and toss 20-lb plastic totes of stuff at work like they're feathers.

    3. Pushing 30-lb shopping carts against strong winds two months ago didn't faze me.

    4. I quit smoking on Mar 24 and did not suffer a single craving or withdrawal symptom (because my body had begun craving endorphins by then). And I continued to lose weight.

    5. Say no to lots of things that are made up of processed carbs because I WANT TO and not because I have to.

    1. I can shop at regular stores and not be stuck with the crappy selection at plus size stores any longer. From size 2x tops to med tops and 22/24 bottoms to 10's.

    2. I am not ashamed to wear shorts and bought my first bikini in years

    3. I can wrap a bath towel around me very comfortably.

    4. I can easily walk 3 miles without getting winded at all (even up the big hill behind my house) and have started jogging a bunch of it and my knee is not killing me.

    5. I am overall stronger, I can carry my sleeping 3 year old upstairs without a problem, I can lift and carry stuff at work that I wouldn't even consider before, and I love to exercise and get sad if my day ends up being so crammed full that I can't get a workout or some sort of exercise in (but that hardly ever happens).

bonus...I can say NO to food and to food pushers, food no longer has a hold on me, and I know I feel so much better not eating the junk and hate the way I feel if I do indulge.

    4. I can giggle when my husband says he's going to knock guys out for checking me out LoL!
    5. I can not give up, and be proud of myself

    1. jog 5km @ 5 miles per hour.
    2. see my toes
    3. shop in regular stores and in the middle of the rack -not at the end where the XL is...
    4. have about 8 - 10 inches of extra airplane seatbelt -comfortably
    5. I am not the fattest person in the room any given time

bonus thing that I can't do, but my smallest kid can -- he can put his arms around me for a hug, either around me low at the waist or even at my shoulders with my arms tucked in bear hug style and squeeze really hard... (He said he didn't uset to be able to reach all the way around me :brokenheart: but now he can almost grab his elbows! Okay the squeeze kinda hurts -but he's trying to lift me off the ground! Need to lose those last 40 so he doesn't hurt himself!
(* okay so I know he's getting bigger and stronger while I'm getting smaller, but I'm taking it anyhow!)
