I ran 50 miles today
(but I'm not counting that in my total goal)

i think you should add 50 miles to your goal and COUNT that 50 miles! you ran it, you earned every mile with blood sweat and tears. count it!!!!

    I agree!

the spreadsheet uses macros, so if you want to be listed there we will need a tentative goal, unless you are only interested in posting to the group -- which is fine too! Welcome :flowerforyou:

Spread sheet for end of Week 1 (half week) - let me know of and errors (e.g., spelling, or mileage errors).

Well, I might need that 50 miles! My coach wants me to take a couple of easy weeks (one full "recovery" week with maybe only a couple days of running--this week--and one mostly recovery week next week) so I won't be running as much as normal. I'll still shoot for 120 w/o the 50 but with 2 easy weeks I don't think it will happen

He says no running until Wednesday, even if I feel like running. I'll probably go for a bike ride or something this evening; moving is good right about now!

Today is my 40th b-day and I am horribly depressed about it. I wanted to stay in bed with the covers over my head. Instead I ran 6 miles.

Good for you!! Thats the spirit!

Thanks for adding me! I just added up and I ran 22miles last week (gosh, hadnt realised how much I was doing until then!)... With that in mind, can I change my goal to 65? I think thats a good figure to aim for til June 30th - and will push me to get the last few without killing me before my half marathon on 1 July!!

3 mile run in 32:40, Avg Pace 10:53mm, Splits 11:04--11:09--10:27, Temp 90F, Dew Point 70F, slight breeze, mostly cloudy.

The starter on my parent's car needs to be replaced. So, I drove it to the auto shop then ran home :) Was a great feeling, knowing I could easily run home. Very empowering.

Internet still down at home :( Fortunately, I have my Droid Bionic to use till the modem is fixed.

I'm very proud to say that I (together with my incredible little dog Sophie) ran 13.2 miles today. that's my longest distance. Also according to runkeeper, my steepest climb. I think me and the mutt did pretty well, even if we were a bit slow.

congratulations to you and your little dog too! :-) longest run ever is a great achievement! way to go!:flowerforyou:

Started the month off with my first mud run- the Warrior Dash. It was a blast! I highly recommend it to anyone. Another 5K race coming up this Saturday, "Lift your Leg for Strays" (benefiting a local humane society).

Rain Run: 4.01 miles in 42:57, Avg Pace 10:43mm, Splits 11:01 - 10:39 - 10:41 - 10:29, started with 80F temps and a Dew Point of 78F then it immediately started to rain hard and the temp dropped a few degrees, BC 4/4.

Rained hard the entire run. No thunder until the end of the run, so good timing there. My first time running in the rain, although I have ridden in it on my motorcycle more times than I can count, lol. It was kind of fun, it was definitely different. Preferred it to running in 90F temps with high dew points with the Sun beating down on ya.

Checked my mail before I went for the run, and my bright yellow Road ID bracelet came in, along with the White Firefly Supernova LED light that I had ordered. Good timing, clipped the Firefly to my hat and put the bracelet on for the run.

running in the rain feels great, unless it's freezing rain- then, not so much.... have fun with your new gear.
