I was doing so well but then this weekend I had my birthday party, had a great time but drank way to much! I'm hoping it's water weight and will be gone by the weekend.
I'm getting pretty frusterated though, just feel like things aren't workign the way I thought they'd be by now:sad:

Hang in there it will get better. Just remember to continue eating the right foods and getting in your exercise. You can do this. We are all here for you.

This is bad. OK, so I said that I just didn't want to gain weight this week because of the hubby's B-day celebration this last weekend, and I"m ok with being at the same weight. But, I also took my body fat measurements, and I am UP 2% in body fat from when I began this process! WHAT the ....? I've been exercising almost everyday for the past three weeks, and I'm up in fat? I had some water and measured again, then I was up in weight (at 138, and down 1% of body fat which is still 1% more than when I started). So here is my question, the more weight I lose, the higher the percentage of fat I have? Or am I losing muscle? But I weight train a lot. I also do two core classes a week, 3 yoga classes a week, and I try to run 3-4 times a week. So how can it be that I'm gaining fat????? This is depressing, because now with 32% body fat, I just moved into the "obese" category. Talk about taking the wind out of my sails.

Start Date July 15 - Starting weight 140 lbs.
    Week 1 July 22 - 139.5 lbs (-.5)
    Week 2 July 29 - 137.5 lbs (-2) (-2.5 total)
Week 3 August 5 - 137.5 lbs (nothing this week)

Week 23 December 23 Christmas Eve is Tomorrow!
My goal is to lose 20 lbs. by Christmas to bring me down to 120 lbs. But I'll be happy at 125 (I'm short and very small framed). If I meet my goal, I'll go shopping for myself at all the after-Christmas sales!!! I'll probably do it anyway, but I won't feel guilty about it; it will be my reward.... hmmm what should I get, maybe a smoking hot outfit for New Years Eve?

Great job on everyones hard work and weight loss. I am stunned I lost another 2 pounds. I was in a wedding on Saturday. It was a beautiful wedding. My best friend looked positively stunning. I love her so much. She actually chose flattering (style and color) brides maids dresses. They made all the bridesmaids look great and we all had dramatically different coloring, skintone and body types. Any way, I ate a ton of food this weekend and wedding cake, so I did not expect to lose weight this week. I am very pleasantly surprised. Probably water weight from not being bloated from my time of the month. Regardless, I am happy to not have gained any weight. Thanks for the support!

I'm back under 200!! -- the gain had to have been my TOM. I'm finding this summer to be difficult with all the parties, going out, etc. of course I have been cycling more than usual so I guess that's keeping me from having major issues!

Let's think about this logically. There is no way that you gained 2% body fat in a couple of days. NO WAY!! Those body fat percentage scales are notoriously inaccurate. Do not pay attention. I can see gaining a little, probably again water weight. Looks like you are doing lots of workouts you will be building muscle even if the naked eye can't spot it yet.

If I were you I would use a regular scale for weigh ins, and maybe just check in on the fat measuring scale once every 6 weeks or so. Even consider getting rid of that scale entirely. You know you are doing well. Don't let an ineffective machine take the wind out of your sails.

Good morning all. So I went for a nice hike down the Niagara Gorge last night. It was so beautiful ... what a difference when there's no humidity. Breathing was so easy, I felt free. I hope you all and have a great day and an even better rest of the week.

Gained 1lb but it is TOM and I've had the snuffles so I've been overindulging myself but getting back on track now.

Hi everyone. Thanks so much for starting thread. This has been a great motivator for me. I love being able to Keep track of my different weight loss goals through this thread. I just realized something if I continue to lose weight as MFP says I am supposed to, I should weigh 168.20 by my three year anniversary with my fiance. I know I may not reach that even if I keep doing as well as I am, as sometimes are bodies just decide to stop losing, but would that not just be awesome. To give you some perspective, i have not been below 170 since highschool and I am 23. I can't even imagine what it will be like when I reach 145 ( hopefully by Christmas). I just can't tell you how excited I am. Sorry for the rambling. I am just so excited!
