I could not agree more. There is a fine line. For example, someone demanding photos of my boobs within minutes of an accepted FR is creepy. Telling me I'm lovely and funny is flirting.

Yep - I always wait for a couple of weeks before I ask for those kind of photos, it's only good manners after all. They were great pics btw Amy, funny in fact.

why is it only a handful of girls on here want to flirt?

    A handful?

Good Lord man, what rock are you looking under?

No kidding! That's like whining there are NO shirtless guys on MFP!

Hey OP, I got a recommended addition to your profile for ya:

I've always wanted to be a professional bodybuilder/fitness model and I'm using this site to watch my macros...

  • Here's a serious question. If you're married, engaged or have a BF or GF, why do you need to flirt? Just wondering. Flirting is a form of cheating.

Aren't you the same guy that didn't like either strippers or porn?

Flirting is not a form of cheating. IMO I don't flirt when I have a significant other or when I was married, but it would have not been cheating if I chose to do it. For the record, most of the women that I flirt back and forth with on this site are married. I don't know what that means. lol

For me, flirting is not a form of cheating...but it IS a form of disrespect. Being nice (which is what most of the people I've seen here call flirting) is not. If I have a girlfriend...I don't flirt, but I'm still nice...just how it works.

Thank you and that's exactly my point. Flirting when you're married or have a GF/BF is just disrespectful to your partner.

But disrespect isn't cheating, first...and second, not everyone feels the way I do, which is ok.

We all want to flirt on here... just have to change your approach for the different girls you want to flirt with.
That really seems like a lot of effort

    True story ^^^^^

Personally, I HATE flirting online. It's literally like menu browsing at PF Changs, when you've only got a McDonalds budget.

Not that it doesn't happen.../sigh, but only with someone I'd very much prefer to meet in person.

Good point. Okay, it's not cheating, but still disrespectful to your partner. Maybe cheating was a little too harsh to say. :)

    I've always hated that saying...

I stated earlier that it wasn't cheating, just being disrespectful to your partner.
