How do you make your smoothie?

I want to make a smoothie for breakfast on the go to work type thing, but I don't know how to make one >.<

yogurt, frozen blueberries, a little ice, a banana (all smoothies are easier to blend with a banana), juice
you could always change the fruit up0 -
frozen mango frozen strawberries frozen rasberries and a little OJ ... you can add bluberries too... no sugar added.
For a lunch replacement i buy whey protein powder vanilla flavored (from walmart) 1/2 cup skim milk 1/2 cup soy milk and add one banana.0 -
I do one called the Green Monster. (You don't taste the spinach.)
cup of skim milk
2-4 ice cubes
1 Tbsp peanut butter
1 banana
handful of spinach or baby spinach
Ground flax if you have it.0 -
Today I blended frozen field berries with OJ. Loved it.
Another good recipe is:
4-6 large ice cubes
1 banana
4-6 strawberries
cover with pineapple juice and blend
You could also try:
1 cup frozen yogurt
1 banana

1/2 c. soy milk (this is the only way I can drink soy milk) or apple juice

1/2 cup lowfat Cottage cheese Cal: 81, Carb: 3, Fat: 1, Protein: 14
1 medium Banana Cal: 105, Carb: 27, Fat: 0, Protein: 1
1/2 cup Fat Free Yogurt (w/ Fruit) Cal: 25, Carb: 5, Fat: 0, Protein: 2
1/2 cup skim Milk Cal: 43, Carb: 6, Fat: 0, Protein: 4
1/2 cup frozen Strawberries (sliced) Cal: 27, Carb: 6, Fat: 0, Protein: 1
Total: Cal: 281, Carb: 47, Fat: 1, Protein: 22
I eat this often for breakfast as I'm not an egg person at all and needed a form of protein in the a.m. that didn't make me gag. I don't like cottage cheese on its own, but when blended with the other ingredients, I can't taste it (and it makes the smoothie a bit creamier ).
This smoothie meets the breakfast recommendations outlined by my dietician: 1 protein serving, 1 dairy serving, 1 fruit (+ 1/2 another fruit serving). Then for my grain and fat serving, I'll have half a pita with 1 tsp of olive oil margarine.
The smoothie is quick, easy and very yummy, too!0 -
1/2 cup yogurt
1/4-1/2 cup skim milk (start with 1/4 and determine if you want more based off consistency)
1/2-1 medium size banana (I make my husband or kids eat the other half if I only use 1/2)
2 cups frozen fruit (favorite mix always includes strawberries and then I add peaches, pinneapple, blueberries, raspberries...you get the point)
1 scoop EAS vanilla protein powder.
This easily takes me to lunch time. You can split it in half and freeze half for the next day or I split it between the kids with breakfast or afternoon snack.0 -

I don't really mesure anything, I just pour in what looks about right. The less liquid the thicker the smoothie is. I've also added to this pinneapple, but have stopped because it contains a lot of sugar.0 -

When I make a smoothie with yogurt, I usually use organic, unsweetened, nonfat yogurt. It can be frozen, if that is your preference. Personally, I enjoy a more liquid smoothie, rather than icey cold/frozen. Tofu can be used if one is vegan or if you just want a different protein. The fruit adds all the natural sugar and flavor that ya need!
I've just discovered that Trader Joe's now carries Hemp Protein Powder and want to try it!

Milk - Nonfat, with added vitamin A (fat free or skim), 250 g 85 12 0 8

Fresh - Blue Berries, 0.3 cup 20 5 0 0

100-200g fresh melon
1/2-1 cup frozen berries
other fresh fruit, like peaches, figs, pears

I use Dannon or a store brand vanilla yogurt, 2% milk and 2-3 fruits that I happen to have on hand. But then, I'm not making it for me. My kids love them. It's the easiest way to get them up early. If I'm using tropical fruit, I add orange or pinapple juice.
I should try the plain yogurt and see if they like it.0 -

I sometimes add oatmeal to my smoothies, when i know i won't have time for lunch. It keeps me fuller longer. Peanut butter when I know will be going on a long endurance run or ride and protein when i go pump iron. Have fun experiment. You can hardly ever go wrong. Just be careful with the servings. Sometimes if your not careful it two servings or three and you've eating a but load of calories.0

I blend it all together so there are no lumps. The cottage cheese gives it a bit of thickness, but no chunks if it's blended. I put all of my ingredients into a bowl and then I use my little hand blender to mix it all up...easy clean up plus the bowl I use has a pouring lip on it.0
