"Any idea what this light is?"

From my wife. The light was the check engine light in her car, which came on on her way to work this morning.

I don't get why people text.
Why be that connected? I don't like people interrupting my day with chatter, and part of being free is being disengaged from the herd. Sometimes I have a hard time relating to this networked culture.

Me, I text because my fiance lives states away and we like to keep in constant contact.

For me, it's less immediate than a phone call. If I get a text, I can choose to look at it or I can leave it for when I have more time. I can choose to reply when I like, or not at all. Phone calls are invasive, immediate and require attention. Text messages can lounge around for hours if I'm busy.

I enjoy keeping in touch with people and don't see a text as an interruption when I can leave it and read it when I'm ready.

It was one of those e-cards I'm supposed to forward on to my husband that said: "I hope my unrelenting excitement over Magic Mike doesn't make you feel like you've failed to fulfill all of my sexual desires" LOL
