    Can I tell you single momz that I treat stepson as MY SON and I have a biological son too with my wife? I have always left room for Stepson's Dad to be in the picture, but he did something this past summer at a developmental time in Stepsons life that pissed me off and that is when I KNEW I had to be DAD to him. Makes me teary eyed to think about it, but it is my duty and Stepson and I will be better in the long run for it.

    May I say that is is an honor to be your friend?

    Can I pipe in that I don't know my bio dad? My step dad which is my mom's ex has been my father figure since I was 7 even though they divorced 15 years ago.

    Do you know that I don't know mine either? My step dad is my dad and has been since I was 5 when he married my mom. :)

    My mother and I use to be bestie's now she drives me crazy, and many others. I don't know what is going on with her. I guess we are backwards huh?
