    Try to read her body language. There are some subtle cues you can pick up on. Some good signs are if the chick in question is playing with her hair a lot, licks her lips more than randomly, stutters a few times, seems very interested in whatever you're talking about, or starts invading your personal space. Of course, be careful not to interpret things that aren't there, like if she plays with her hair because she has lice. You're going to want to be observant while talking and try to pay attention at the same time, but if you can't, then just nod your head and repeat the last sentence she said every now and then. Smile a lot, be confident, and do not take anything she says at face value. If you do decide to actually listen, read between the lines.

    That stuff has always eluded me. I could never get the signals right or I would over analyze, whatever. So, I just quit trying.

    With being so over weight for such a long time and having a failed marriage, how can you tell a woman likes you? Especially if your still shy and still see the old self?

    I'm just gonna go ahead and say that you look really sexy, so it's entirely possible that this girl is shy or nervous around you. That'll make it harder to tell if she's into you. But if she isn't, her loss. There will be lots of girls around for you. You worked hard to look this good, so own it! :)

    I think we make it pretty obvious ... But you do have to believe in yourself and have self confidence to notice all the messages ... She will contact you more often , speak and want to speak with you often, her face will light up around you .. She will smile continually in your company and laugh at your funny comments .. She will listen attentively to your stories ..ect... It's kinda instinct too I think ..you will feel it ! ... Good luck :-)

    You probably don't know this about me so I'll let you in on a little secret my Kiwi compadre: I'm a mind reader.

    The question you really want the answer to is not "how can you tell a woman likes you" but "how do I avoid being rejected and the pain associated with it".

    That's perfectly understandable. However, if you can get a handle on the emotional response you have when being rejected you have the potential to be flyer than Dan Carter in the dating stakes. You're a good looking chap and I suspect given your life experience are probably quite empathetic.

    Don't give your happiness away to fear. Bury...that...sucker....in...the...ground. Be strong. Be powerful. Be laid ;)
