    OK then I rephrase - I make it pretty damn obvious!!

    Remember...us women may flirt a lot (I think I'm pretty damn obvious) but men don't take hints well. You just have to spell it out for them! :laugh:

    It also depends on the girl. I am super awkward with men (in person) and get really nervous and fidget and look around a lot. From what others have said, this could be seen as me being uninterested. Plus I'm not much of a talker, which can also come off as uninterested. I think you have to find out what this girl is like and make sure that she's just not super, super shy.

    The question you really want the answer to is not "how can you tell a woman likes you" but "how do I avoid being rejected and the pain associated with it".

    That's perfectly understandable. However, if you can get a handle on the emotional response you have when being rejected you have the potential to be flyer than Dan Carter in the dating stakes. You're a good looking chap and I suspect given your life experience are probably quite empathetic.

    Don't give your happiness away to fear. Bury...that...sucker....in...the...ground. Be strong. Be powerful. Be laid ;)

    Dude, it took me a while when I was first on my own because I had been out of the game for 16 years. But, I picked it back up. But, it did take some time. Basically, here's how it goes. If you like her, throw her a bone or two, and see how she takes it. If she likes you, she'll laugh and show friendliness and be flirty. If she doesn't, or if she's not interested, just friendly, she'll act a little differently, she'll say something about her boyfriend or husband, or she'll use body language that closes her off or keeps her away from you sort of. Women have awesome body language. You just know by the way they lean in and talk to you, and when they laugh and really stupid things you say. If she doesn't like you in that way, she'll close up her body...no leaning in, maybe arms cross. Maybe she'll look around the room while you're talking to her, meaning she's not interested. They are pretty easy to read. Mainly, if they pay attention to you, you're in. But, you gotta move, they usually wont make a move until you do. Suck being a girl. You just sit there and hope a dude you like will make a move. LOL. I've always thought that that blows for a girl.

    Also add if she touches you. In social settings, most women won't ever touch a man they don't like. If she's laughing/smiling and touching your arm, at a minimum she likes you a lot as a friend, but probably more.
