Ok. You don't like a person. Let it go.

There is no need to go after people. Perhaps you were friends and then you realized that they don't mesh with your values, your morals, your grammar skills, your fitness goals, your interests, whatever. Perhaps you weren't friends but you both post a lot in the forums and that person is on the other side of the divide from you and is therefore obviously an idiot: eat/don't eat exercise calories, cardio versus strength, barbie weights versus lifting heavy, being snarky when goaded or being whiny when goaded, no excuses, versus getting bogged down in the difficulties of fitting fitness goals into the reality of your life.
You get my point.
There are lots of people on here. You can hang with some of them, and some of them will bug the crap out of you and you'll think they're the worst human being ever. That's totally cool.
Here's what's not cool:
Chasing them around the forums saying mean things personally about them.
Chasing them around the forums for the purpose of reporting them.
Unfriending them because of their moral turpitude (that's ok, actually) and then repeatedly PMing them about how lacking in your morals they are.
Sending PM's to people you don't like. Again. And Again. And then again even though they've said to stop. Or they blocked your old account name, or they changed their account name to get away from you and your minions.
Chasing them into the private group they created so that they can share like-minded interests or snarkiness or religious beliefs that may offend or bother people in the main forums. You got there because someone currently on your friends list is a member of that group. If you don't like the group or people in it, unfriend your current friend. Don't go searching for something that will bother you. That's just ridiculous. It is in a private group for the purpose of NOT offending the people who would be offended.
Setting up a new account and trying to disguise it so you can then out them and their private group activity and then deactivate and hide. That's just weak.
Chasing people around forums or your friends' newsfeeds for the purpose of being bothered by certain people's profile pictures, but not similar profile pictures by other people. And then reporting people who you don't like for their moral failings but not the sexy back picture with no apparent bra on covering the front you can't see of the person you like or at least don't hold a grudge against.
Excessively reporting people you don't like just cuz.
If you're doing any of these things, they aren't wrong--YOU are. You are bothering them by following them around for the purpose of being bothered.
That burns no calories. That does not help you in your goals. Not your fitness goals, nor your apparent goals to be morally superior.
What you do is you defriend them. Or you state your disagreement with them when they show up on the boards talking about their asinine belief that you KNOW is completely false. And then you move on and go about your day. If they idiotically disagree with your brilliance, you disagree with their statement, but you don't call them idiots or morally inferior or anything like that.
Several of my friends have been extremely hurt recently by douchebaggery like the stuff I listed above (and probably stuff I'm not aware of too). Even more of my friends were targeted by douche-y behavior like this, but they are strong enough in their path to not be bothered. But my point is, the above behavior is hurting people I care about, and it is not the kind of behavior adults who are thinking about what they are doing do.
So, please. Stop. You are better than this.
Even the people I don't like and would be tempted to do any of the above to. They are better than this too. I won't do what I listed above (at least not again after I reflect upon a mistaken act). But I will delete people who have been doing this to my friends, and I'll do it in the future. It just isn't cool, and it needs to stop.
Commence flaming, I really don't give a whit

Hell yeah!
I love you sweetie. I think you're awesome for standing up for your friends like that....
in a respectful way that lets people know what they're doing is wrong, without directly calling anyone out, which would be stooping to their level.
you're the shiz...just sayin0 -

Thanks Jules, it is a shorter version that is still accurate.
I was TL because generally *kitten* don't generally think they're being *kitten* when they do it. They generally think the other guy is an *kitten*, and they're just riding the MFPworld of *kitten*. That's why I was an *kitten* and used ALL the words.
Sorry for all the "*kitten*".0 -

she's reported and you agree with HIM?
Or he's reported for calling her a butthurt douche?0 -
And as a reminder, there is an ignore function. If you don't like someone you neeever have to see them or a single thing they say. If you're reporting the same person more than once..the problem is you.0

That's a relief. That's what I thought at first. Then I thought, wait, maybe by using all the words, I'm acting all butthurt. ****, am I? Dang. Thank you for clarifying. It was a way good summation too.0 -
