This was too long to read. Where are the cliff notes?

dont be an *kitten* and stalk people you dont like..the end

Can I stalk people I do like though? :-)

I do that ALL THE time. I friend them because I like them so much and want to read everything they say.

Well said, Jet. Being succinct isn't my strong suit either. Sometimes capturing detail, layered meaning and nuance requires more than bullet points or 140-character pontificating. Sometimes all the words just come tumbling out. Still, I will never understand the need to post that something is too long for me to read. If it's too long and I don't want to read it, why do I need to announce that? Couldn't I just not read it because it's too long and move on? Is it clever and/or cool to be able to use a four letter quip to announce what I *didn't* do? Are you literally taking the time to publicly announce that you saw the length of the post, chose not to read it based on the length, then took the time to reply that you didn't read said post because it was too long? Phew.... Since when did reading become such a chore?

I'm gonna start posting TSND (Too Short, Needs Details).

this would come in quite handy at times....

"I was wondering how many calories should I eat if I'm running 4 miles a day?"

    "TS/ND"

    Here's what's also not cool...
Taking the time to create an avatar to take digs at the person. Grow up!

OP? Will you marry me? :smooched:

    Agreed.

A lot of the asshattery the OP pointed out is why I left public forums (Babycenter) over 5 years ago. It was sad because I met some great people, but the douche canoes and trolls were too much to handle. I was burnt out on WW and decided to give MFP a try. I've been trying to figure out where I belong here...it's a work in progress.

Thanks OP for making me feel like there are still good peeps hanging out on public forums.

Knowing that this goes on makes me miss the days of "goon squads" patrolling neighborhoods and busting kneecaps.

    Also, bacon for all!

I agree. Let it go. There is absolutely no need to not hit the little ignore button below people that you don't like if you are unable to control yourself when you see their user name. Eeesh.

And I whole heartily second the motion for bacon!

One of my friends had this happen to her recently. I have some great friends on here who I've argued with, debated with, and who have polar opposite views than mine and we get along just fine. Some people need to grow up.
