That's just it I try to keep the bad stuff out but my hubby has a sweet tooth too and he will always go grab something. We live within walking distance of every kind of store/fast food restaurant. Thank you for you comment!0

I can definitely see a difference. You have most certainly achieved a good beginning of noticeable weight loss. Keep up the great work and make a healthier happier you!! You are worth the work!!
What might help remind you to not eat the things that you shouldn't maybe putting a mirror somewhere easy to see it in the kitchen. Even a picture of whet you want to look like with it. It will always be a reminder of your goals. Another great tip I have seen is to be sure to keep the healthier snacks where you can most easily access them and the other things out of reach or out of the house altogether, if possible.0 -
I'm glad I posted this. Thank you everyone for your kind words! I feel energized!0

Excellent idea! Thanks!0 -
You are WAY smaller omg! Much healthier looking! Sometimes you are going to be the only person who can't see it. We get SO used to seeing ourselves a certain way that we are literally sometimes the last to see our reflection change. Even people who have lost 100 pounds might still see their old self. Do not stop now, look how far you have come!!!0

Crystal, I see a big difference in your tummy and upper arms, especially! You've done a fabulous job so far, and it sounds like you are ready to pick yourself up and get back on track again. I bet you can feel a difference, too! Clothes fit better, you can move around easier.
It is very difficult to go from a diet filled with not-so-healthy choices to eating everything good for you, so it might help you to try changing one thing at a time, food-wise. I've had to resort to not having certain food items in the house because they all but called my name calling me to come and eat them. It has taken me about a year or longer, but I have slowly changed my diet from eating out (let's just say a LOT!) to once or twice a month now, no more pre-packaged foods (Rice a Roni, Hamburger Helper, those high-sodium, pricey, quick-to-make foods), eating a lot more vegetables, fruits and high fiber foods. Like I said, it took about a year to make this change. It can't happen over night. (I tried...it was too much too soon!)
I still indulge myself once in a while, but since starting MFP, it has to fit within my calorie count for the day, and I must aim for 25 or more grams of fiber each day. I have a medical problem that necessitates I get enough fiber or I can end up needing surgery. A few things I have noticed about getting all this fiber into my diet are that I'm not feeling so hungry all the time, I'm NOT craving foods that I used to crave, and am actually craving things like sauteed spinach, and I'm drooling over the fresh veggies at the grocery store.
Take your changes one at a time, keep trying to eat right, get in any exercise that you can, and you will continue to see a difference in yourself. Your pictures speak 1000 words! Keep up the great job!0 -
It is a big difference...congrats!0

My name is Crystal and I started on MFP in February 2012. I was doing pretty well at first but for the last month and a half or so, I just can't find the motivation I need to lose weight. I have a huge sweet tooth. I can't say no. I usually eat still whatever I want so I don't feel deprived but stay within my calorie goal for the day. At night is the worst. I decided I should post a picture to see if anyone can tell a difference and hopefully offer some encouragement and make me put full effort into it again.
I see e big difference. Good job! Stick with it. It's not that you can't say no, it's that you won't say no. Figure out why you won't say no to sweets, work on the underlying issue and soon you'll be saying a hearty NO even at the end of the day.
Make sure you are providing yourself necessary nutrients during the day so that tension, stress and hunger don't build up and explode in cravings at night when you're home.0 -
Good on you Crystal keep going. I measured every single part of my body (Arms, legs, stomach, waist, breasts, hips etc) so that every week or day sometimes I would remeasure to see the difference. It's the only thing that keeps me going seeing those centimeters leave!0

Oh yeah! You can definetely see a difference! Good job and keep going! Everytime I lose inspiration, I look on this part of the site because it helps motivate me again. And whenever I stop working out as much or eating bad, I think later on "what if I had kept up with it? Where would my progress by NOW if i didn't ease up/stop a couple of weeks/months ago?"0

Wow! What a difference 20 lbs makes! Major difference. You can definitely tell, your arms and belly are much smaller, which (dont take this the wrong way please) make your "girls" look much better too! Also, sweets are okay in moderation. Great job, keep on going, imagine yourself 20 lbs from now! Cant wait to see updated pics in a couple more months!0
-
DEFINITELY see a difference keep it up, look at these pics for inspiration imagine what another 20lbs loss will do. Just visualise that goal!!!0

Looking great!!!0

yep, i see it. especially in your arms and stomach. I have a sweet tooth like you and allow myself sweets as long as I'm able to stay within my calorie limit. Its hard but you can do it. Keep up the great work!0

WOW! Theres a huge difference, well done!! Keep up the good work! :O)) xx0

That is a spectacular difference for only 4 months, especially in your tummy! :] Try some low calorie, sweet snacks, if you must snack late. I eat late and count it towards the next day if it is after midnight, but recently my dad found these special k crisp bars and the chocolate drizzle ones are pretty delicious, with only 100 calories for each two pack.0

Dont stop!!! you looking amazing! Well done, if you stop now and put on the weight you will be so upset, trust me I did So keep going x0

In the second picture, boobs are sticking out further than your belly. That should tell you a lot right there.0

Pictures are a great way to see difference that you can't see daily by looking at your body. You can see a significant difference in your stomach, check the roundness in the first pictures, starts right below your boobs and bows way out, it's a huge difference in the second picture. You should be very proud of the progress that you've made.0

"huge difference!
I'm a night eater(snacker) as well, that's been my biggest challenge.
I usually have a "skinny cow" ice cream to satisfy my sweet tooth, maybe a handful of raw nuts/dry roasted pistashios.
The thing that has saved me is the elliptical, I do 20 min. a day no matter what.
If I feel like givining in to temptation, all I have to do is think about that absolutely unhappy person I was and ask myself if I want to go back there...0 -
yes definetly! Well done keep it up!0

There is totally a difference. You should see it in the way your clothes fit too! As a high protein/ low calorie snack, try 1 container of plain greek yogurt, mixed with a container of sugar free jello pudding snack. It's a bit tangy but sweet, a lot to eat only 160 calorie. And no sugar approximately 20 grams protein. It's like eating a sundae. Keep up the good work!0
-
"Can anyone tell a difference?" That question is a joke, right!? Cause I can tell a big difference! Don't be hard on yourself and don't give up! Congratulations on all of your progress!0
-
Yes there is for sure a difference. Keep up the good work. Have you tried finding a hobbie to do in the evening. I know it sounds crazy but I have had the same issue and I am married to Mr. Junk food junkie and he eats all night long. But, I find it I do counted cross stich or read my mind is concertrating on other things and not on food. Just a suggestion.
Keep going you have got this.0 -
Hell yeah, I can tell a difference. Keep going!0
-
You are definitely headed in the right direction! What a difference 20lbs makes!0
-
