I'm not sure how much I believe my new scale. It's been fairly erractic. I'm putting down the most recent reading, but I'm not logging it as progress on the site until I get back to my MIL house to check on the scale I started on.

How was everyone else's Halloween? Mine was an epic FAIL!!! I was doing really great until we started the trick or treating. Candy has always been a weakness, and this holiday proved to be more than my will power could handle!

But I did have one success. This afternoon I sat down with my kids, explained that all that stuff in the bowl had too many calories, and wasn't very good for us. We sorted through their candy, and they got to choose what they wanted to keep and what we were giving away. They did a great job (they are 2 and 5). We now have about 1/2 of the candy bagged up ready to give away. Now, just to get it out of my house!

Yaye! So, I haven't really weighed in the last two weeks because I was determined to see the scale drop....and I had been getting frustrated. Yippie! I didn't do as well as I could have this weekend, although I didn't go over my calories in the slightest... I just didn't choose as healthy of options. But, I didn't go overboard, so that felt good. Going to "up" my workouts this week and add some more strength training. I can finally feel my stomach muscles! Horray! Have a great week !!

I have been SO BAD in the last month!! :embarassed:

I got into a relationship and got really distracted...started eating poorly, drinking, and barely lifting. I was running 3-5 miles every other day which helped curb my weight gain, but I'm back to my starting weight.

The relationship is over now.:grumble: So I'm back to focusing on ME. Over the weekend I met up with one of my bodybuilding friends from undergrad who is preparing for a show in 3 weeks, and he looked amazing. I realized that if he can do that while he's in nursing school, I can do it too.

So I have revamped my workout and changed my macro ratios to include more protein and fewer carbohydrates. I feel fuller generally and the low-carb does assist in keeping insulin levels lower. I'm als timing my carbs for breakfast and pre/post workout. Very little before bed to keep GH levels from dropping overnight. More veggies and fruits.

I'm starting week 6 of the Gateway to 8K tomorrow, so my running is up around 45 minutes Tues/Thurs/Sun. I'm lifting Mon/Wed/Fri with lots of pyramids and supersets. Saturday will be my off-day.

I'm starting AGAIN at 133.4, but by January 1 I will still be able to lose 5-8 lbs! Bring it on!!

    Thanks!

    I'm HUNGRY.

It takes a few days for me to adjust to the carb/calorie changes. I'm hoping tomorrow will reflect my hard work! I was actually up to 135 ish in the morning a couple weeks ago :noway: Today my roommate remarked that my legs looked slimmer in comparison to earlier this month. Whew!

    Hey Guys!

Been MIA for a really long time and so have the losses. Giving myself the weekend to relax aftersome hellish weeks at work - those always do me in. Going to catch up on my sleep and get over this beginnings of cold i am feeling.
Starting monday i am on vacation for two weeks to study for the a part of the CPA exam - and get back full time in the gym. My goal other than the lbs, is to do cardio for 60 minutes, and lift for 30 every day.
