Well today started off better then yesterday's barium testing. I had some fibre one for breakfast and am now enjoying my Timmy's coffee. It's going to be busy for me this weekend ... tonight I'm giving a ghost tour (due to the full moon tonight), then tomorrow I'm off to Ottawa (6 hour drive) for a Family Reunion on Sunday and then we'll drive back on Monday so I can get back to my regular job on Tuesday. Wow ... I'm pooped just thinking about it. So how about all of you? Any plans for the weekend?

    HowlAtMoon.jpg

A ghost tour!!!!!....sounds like fun wish I could tag along! I love a good ghost story, but I have always told my kids I love ghost stories but if I ever really saw one I'd probably have to change my underwear:laugh:

Well, my plans include going on a ghost tour...lol... and doing lots of cleaning all weekend. I have decided however to start the C25K program on Satuday and have downloaded some pod casts to do it with... yay! Now if only I could find a nearby path to run that doesn't have a bunch of people who can watch my flab fly as I do the running part...lol. Yikes!

I have to get running shoes and a HRM so at least my weekend will involve some shopping.

Meemaw: Don't lose faith in yourself. As your body goes through changes because of the change in your lifestyle it will hit plateaus and points where it fluctuates. This is absolutely natural so don't be discouraged. It is your body's way of adjusting to the changes it has gone through and preparing for the next stage of change. I learned that in my nutrition class in Univeristy. So I will say it again because it is absolutely true... It is your body's way of adjusting to the changes it has gone through and preparing for the next stage of change. It is absolutely natural.

Take care and everyone have faith in yourself.

Keep up the good work. I bumped up the exercise a bit and started some jogging. I was so sore this morning I did not go for my morning walk but hope to get out for a walk later.

Do you have a non-food way to reward yourself as you are losing weight? It is important to reward yourself for a job well done.

I would reward myself with a massage or a new top or a hair cut. Anything that does not deal with food. You are doing awesome, keep up the great work.

Week 3 August 5 - 299.6 -.8 lost really been struggling. Still trying though.
    Week 4 August 12 – 296 -3.6 woohoo!!!!!
    Week 5 August 19 – 293.8 -2.2 Yeah! I didn’t blow it on my camping trip last weekend.

Totally bummed today!! I am up 1.6lbs and don't know why. I have been eating well, drinking lots of water, haven't worked out much but I really don't think that's it. I am up 1.6 from last week's weigh in on here, but up 4lbs since Friday. When I went to the doctor on Friday I weighed 201.6 and now I'm at 205.6. How is that possible??? I am so upset and frustrated. I don 't know what else to do.
Looking at the history here I have only lost 2.4 since July!! That's awful!!!

Thu 07/23/09 07:25 AMStart Date July 15 Starting weight 208
Week 1 July 22 206.4 down 1.6 (could be more but TOM!)
Week 2 July 29 204.4 Down 2 Whoo hooo almost made my goal of under 200 by Aug 1!!!!

Week 3 August 5 Will be on Vacation, won't be able to weigh in. Be back next week.
    Week 4 August 12 211 (gained of 6.6 pounds )

Week 5 August 19 208lb Still working off the vacation weight
Week 6 August 26 204!!! I'll take it. Back down to pre-vacation weight!!

Week 7 September 2 Labor Day is Monday 205.6

Okay, you said you weighed at the doctor's office. Do you always weigh there? If not, don't even worry about that scale, it will be off. Always use the same scale to weigh. My suggestion when you weigh, do it first thing in the morning after you use the restroom and with no clothes on. That is how I do it every Saturday morning.
What are you eating and how much exercise are you doing? Don't eat a lot of carbs late in the day, because they will not have time to burn off before you go to bed. Make sure to exercise at least 3 - 5 times a week. Anything is better than nothing. You will get there.
    Have a great weekend.

Good Morning everyone! I stayed the same again this week. They say the last 10 lbs is the hardest to lose. Boy, I'm here to tell you. I have worked my bunzolas off and still no movement. Oh well the compliments I am receiving is my payoff for these past three weeks! I'm still quite happy with my progress. It pays to stay focused.

Start Date July 15 Starting weight 136
    Week 1 July 22 - 135
    Week 2 July 29 -134

    Week 3 August 5 - 133
    Week 4 August 12 - 130
    Week 5 August 19 - 129
    Week 6 August 26 - 129
    Week 7 September 2 -129

Have a great, happy and healthy week. Drink your water :flowerforyou:

That is so true about the last few pounds. Hang in there, it will disappear before you know it. Have a fantastic weekend.

Well it's my TOM, so I'm considering no loss a good thing. Feel gross though. :ohwell:

Trying not to dwell on my slow weight loss progress, and more on the fact that I've never been so fit.
I signed up for my first race!!! I'm running a 10k on Labor Day to benefit a local children's hospital!

I'm so excited and NERVOUS!!!

I'm so glad for everyone who's lost this week, but more importantly, I'm inspired by everyone's dedication. Even if you're struggling, you keep coming back and not giving up! Cheers to you!!!:drinker:

Start Date July 15 Starting weight: 160
    Week 1 July 22 - 160
    Week 2 July 29 -162 (+ 2)

    Week 6 August 26 - 158(-1)
    Week 7 September 2 Labor Day is Monday - 158 (-0)

Good luck on your race this weekend. Doesn't it feel great to be able to be able to do that, when before you would not even consider it? Kudos to you.

Hang in there, you will get there sooner than you think. Maybe sit down and really look at what you are eating and what you do for exercise. Sometimes re-evaluating helps see things you don't see everyday. Change up your exercise every couple of weeks. Try different things that you would not even normally think of doing. You might suprise yourself. Have a fantastic weekend.

gotta say I'm pretty frustrated. I exercise, and watch what I'm eatting. But the weight is just not coming off. I am no where near where I wanted to be right now. I was really wanting to be closer to 180 than 190.
This weekend is off to Iowa for Grandma's 95th birthday party. And while there will be lots of food, I know I will still be able to make healthy choices.
Hope you all enjoy your holiday weekend!

We all hit those plateau's, believe I know. I was there for 3 months. You just need to change things up. Your eating and your exercise. Your body gets use to one routine and if you change it up every couple of weeks, it will have to keep guessing and burning calories to keep up. Don't kick yourself too hard, you will get through it. Have a wonderful weekend.

o poo. i posted to last week instead. Here are my numbers this week in the CORRECT thread:

    Start Date July 15 Starting weight 192 (goal = 169) (23 pounds)
    Week 1 July 22 CW = 189.8 / Loss - 2.2 / total loss = -2.2
    Week 2 July 29 CW = 189.8 / Loss = BIG FAT ZERO (TOM) / total loss = -2.2

    Week 3 August 5 - on vacation
    Week 4 August 12 – on vacation
    Week 5 August 19 - CW = 190.4 / Gain of 0.6 / Total loss = 1.6
    Week 6 August 26 - CW=190.4 / no change, but no gain, either! / Total loss = -1.6

    Week 7 September 2 Labor Day is Monday - CW=189.6 / loss of -0.8 / Total loss = -2.4

I will take that stinkin' 0.8 loss because this is the first time that the scale has moved in the right direction in a while! So easy to put it on and sooooooo hard to take it off again! Hope everyone is doing better than I am!:blushing: Was wishing I was farther along than I am seeing as I started 8 weeks ago *sigh*

Just remember you did not gain the weight in one week, so unfortunately we will not lose in one week either. I know how frustrating it is. You will get there, you are doing great.
