Um...that's the top haha0 -
my advice is to go and try dresses on its all very well seeing them on other people but thats not your personal figure. what suits them might not suit you.
try to choose a dress that matches your personality, your taste for life and the passion you have to find your dream dress, wether you want to be a princess in beautiful white, traditional in a traditional white dress or something reflection say victorian style. do yu like 50's/60's glamour.
think of the things you like nd see if you can find them in a dress.
i dont believe in white weddings personally so mine is red. to me white is a symbol of purity and virginity even though i am NOT religious. i also want to look like a cherry not a marshmallow. completely hate the white dresses. havent seen one i liked in my bridal shops what so ever.
any way in short write down what you like take it with you and find and try the dresses on that have that in them. good luck on your mission0 -
Here are some that my fiance was looking at. She is 5'2'' and I'm not allowed to know how many lbs.

There is another dress (or two) that she likes at the shop, but I'm not allowed to see it (them).0 -
Unfortunately this is the only one I have available online right now. But it was an A-line with lace around the top and around the hem. My mom actually made it.

I got mine at promdressline.com they have some really pretty dresses. I didn't want anything too formal (I'm 45 and have 3 kids so I was not real comfortable wearing white). But they have so really pretty dresses on their site and are extremely reasonable.0

Let's see if this will work:
My husband and I did a vow renewal for our 25th year. It was at Disney. My dress was the most beautiful item of clothing I'd ever seen in my life and I felt like a princess in it.0 -

My God, I think my husband knows every time I gain or lose an ounce hahaha0 -
I didn't get the big wedding, the big dress, the reception or anything... but tomorrow is our 26th wedding anniversary, so I guess we got something right!0 -
Here is mine!
I loooooooved my dress. When I put it on, I was like THIS is it!! I had tried on a handful of dresses before I got to this one too. All the others were okay... this one DID it for me!0 -

You Mum made your dress? That's amazing! I have to get a claxon out to drown out the swearing if my mum gets near a needle and thread! Lol. x0 -
I'll have to find a pic of my wedding dress, though it was made by my mother in 1992!0

Wow! That is the strangest thing. I'm not sure why it didn't post. I took the code right from where the photo resides on photobucket and changed the image coding to lower case. Any ideas?0 -
Drat, can't get mine to show. Here's a quick link: http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c159/hdsqrl/Wedding Photos/0280.jpg
(testing one more time:)
Bizarre. Here's what my link looks like, but without the spaces:

I had limited choices because I did not want strapless (since I know strapless does NOT look good on me) but I found this one on clearance at David's Bridal and LOVED it!
It had a train that I detached for the reception

You have to change the IMG to lower case. I found out the hard way...0 -
Wish I could help....but I gave my wedding album to my DD after my divorce...there are photos of their relatives in it that are no longer alive so I figured its a part of their family history. I still have the dress in storage, though. I wonder if its still in decent shape after 25 years. Come to think of it....after 25 years you might not care to see it.
Good luck with your dress shopping.....very exciting!
ETA - Pick out the dress that YOU really like. As much as I liked my dress it wasnt my first choice. When I tried it all, all my bridesmaids said, "THATS THE ONE!!", so I stopped looking. I should have gone with what I really wanted.0 -
My advice is to try loads on - all styles even ones you think you won't like.
This!! I had a list of all the things my dress HAD to be, and all the things that were not ok for me. Yep, you guessed it, my dress turned out to be the polar opposite of what I wanted, and I loved it. If I have time, I'll post a picture of it later.0 -
Wow! I just realized that I don't have any good pictures of me & the full dress! I love wedding dresses, so this is my favorite thread today!
When I got married, I was 5'5" and about 225 lbs. (I don't know for sure because I was avoiding the scale like the plague!)

For all the photobucket images that won't post, you need to change the IMG that are in the brackets to lower case img0
