    12 hours is full time?

Yep, I really don't know much, I'm so glad I've been told what full time is, to think I'd got it wrong all these years gah!!!
Did you intentionally ignore the 38 hours of work to be *****y?

Perhaps you didn't read her post which says she goes to college/studies full time AND works full time.

So no, I didn't ignore it.

12 hours plus the extra 3-5 hours she's now added to it still does not add up to full time. It's quite simple really.

Would you mind considering the impact your addiction is having on the rest of us? There is so much environmental damage being done by cars, that I for one would be grateful if you could try to limit your excursions to more essential journeys.

I could try but considering this is actually a stress relief for me i don't know how much different it would make...

What environmental damage are you talking about?

I can hardly believe you are asking this question, but on the basis that you really may not know, here are some links:

I get that same feeling of freedom and control, relaxation and just plain fun and happiness from riding my bike. Perhaps you might try biking as a substitute for you - no gas, free workout?

As frustrating as driving is, I love it. It is relaxing especially if you go somewhere far. My bf lives in CALI I'm in AZ so I go visit him a lot and I love it. (I rather go visit him than he coming to visit me because AZ is as fun as poop on a stick) :D I love being alone with my own thoughts.

I think I'm addicted to driving.
I get up earlier before work and drive around before work for like an hour, I'll drive around even when I'm not going anywhere. Up to 4-5 hours+ a day, just me, my music and the car. I know I need to stop as fuel prices are ridiculous but I don't know how to :/

    Anyone else?

LOL Im right there with ya!! I love driving ..Its my happy place!!! Me and my music and the road!!! Its my thinking time, relaxation time.

Hahahahahah.... Sorry, but if this one person will make a difference than go for it. But unfortunately, There are like a gazillion human beings in this world who appreciate the invention of a vehicle.... so I highly doubt that this one person will make a huge difference in this life time. So Sorry, but realistically, you are wasting your "breath".

I love it. I drive 30-45mins to work and back daily. Gives me time to relax, enjoy some music and reflect on my day.

The closest real cities to here are 4hrs in either direction, so if you're ever travelling or going on vacation, somewhere to shop, etc you face that drive both ways.

    Love it.

My dad loves to ride his motorcycle around aimlessly. It's less of a problem for him, though, since he's got more than enough money that gas isn't an issue.

I'd recommend an electric car for leisure, but chances are if you can't afford gas you can't afford a whole nother car. A taxi or public transit career might be another option :-)

Hahahahahaha.... what the heck!!! I for one, know for dang sure that I spent three years of my life going to college full time five days a week 6-7 hours a day and on top of that worked 8-9 hours a day (rotating weekends) in the hospital. i had little time to sleep and never had "play time". I used my "free time" wisely. Why do people write ridiculous things like this, everyone is different. There isn't one type of way to live.

Sorry, this is nothing more than "tree huggin' propaganda". Once industry starts cutting back their pollution, so will I.

By this point we all know Al Gore's little fear mongering video was mostly conjured up to make it work for his benefit.

I love driving also - my daily commute is 150 miles.

    No, not at all.

Gas prices are still way too high.

I hate driving. I only drive if I have too. I would prefer someone else to drive me around any day.
