    We did a version of this as our Spring play when I was a Freshman in high school (just before the movie came out - shhhh, I'm OLD!), and my drama teacher wrote songs for it and turned it into a musical and it was glorious and I was a R.O.U.S. and I got to die on stage....lol. Thank you for bringing that memory back to me again. :)

    this movie has saved my life...

    a couple years ago we were at cub scout day camp... and there was a lightnening storm... and they didn't plan any rainy day activity... so they had 75 boys under the age of 12 stuck... in one spot ... so I gathered them all together and started with in a land far away there lived a girl named Buttercup... and recited the movie...

    after about 45 minutes the rain and lightening stopped and the boys could go out and none wanted to leave... so I promised them that if they were VERY good I would continue it the next day... it was my fall back for the whole week and my group was the best behaved because all of them wanted to find out what happened to the gentle giant and the black masked man and the spaniard ;)

    It can never, ever, ever be watched too many times. It's one of my all time favorite movies. Ever, ha.
