    25 BMI

I have a lower BMI than 55% of the women in my country in my age category....

I am considered a fatty on the global scale...with 60% of the world population being smaller than me...haha

    Most like someone from: Mauritius*

And I just read this - OUCH: If everyone in the world had the same BMI as you, it would add 21,057,129 tonnes tothe total weight of the world's population

From US...female aged 39 with a BMI of 21, which is right in the middle of "normal"...I have a lower BMI than 90% of US women aged 30-44 and a lower BMI than 68% of women globally. That's sad...I didn't even realize the obesity epidemic is that bad. I'm most like a woman from India but YUCK! I HATE Indian food! lol They shoulda said Italy!! lol

    To quote the website:

"You have a higher BMI than 100% of females aged 30-44 in the world"

Some how I don't think that's actually the case. Good thing I have a sense of humour!

For those of you who think this means you're fatter than you thought, bear in mind that it's talking about BMI, not weight. It compares your weight to your height before making a determination.

Not that it helps. I suspect it's not very accurate anyway. BMI doesn't take body fat percentage into account, and this is a VERY simplistic calculator. Don't let it depress you. It's not a doctor, it's not judging you, and it has no window of insight into your life. You're here to get fit and get the body you want, and you can do it. Don't let a silly internet calculator deter you from that!

Interesting that the first several responses immediately started using the words "body fat" and not BMI. When I went to the link and saw the calculator I was like, "Um...this is a BMI calculator."

BMI does not and cannot tell you your body fat composition. My BMI is 33. Obese. My body fat, however, is about 26%--in an acceptable range.

LOL, you are too funny! Yeah, somethins rotten in Denmark, LOL!!
    I don't think it's very accurate.

At 37 years old and 5' 9" and 246 pounds it says that I am fatter than 100% of the people in the world. Pretty far off I think.

One more thing... those of you who are getting weird numbers: are you changing the units on the thing? The default height unit is meters, and the default weight unit is kilograms. Be sure you're not entering inaccurate numbers: change the units to feet and pounds or stone, depending on what units you know.
