Here is the new chart, if I didn't get your weight, I assumed that you stayed the same. Let me know if you need it changed and I will update later. I am going to try to start the new topic about this time each week as this is when my son takes a nap--free time!!  So if you could send me your weight before then it would help a ton. Thanks to all of you who already did. We are doing good. I feel as though I am back on track!:drinker:

I also changed it so that we are on Week 2 now--last weeks weight is now Week one. Hopefully I am not confusing anyone, I am still learning this whole thing.

What should our new challenge be this week. We should continue to check in everyday but any other ideas?

So a big question for everyone--what are you having for dinner?? I am trying to figure something out and am fresh out of ideas. Yesterday we had bbq chicken in the crockpot with green beans and yams. It was really good.

    What is your dinner tonight?

OK we'll get it straight - I was at 160.something and this week 157
you don't show me losing:sad: No big deal....

Last night we ate out mexican - I got a grilled chicken burrito with onions, mushrooms and spinach in it and guacomole.

Supper tonight broccoli casserole - not the healthiest but its a favorite I save for....with ham (and boiled cabbage--if I have time) and motts natural plus cranberry raspberry applesauce....

Kickboxing tonight - I am not sure when I'll get dinner cooked! I am out of Mayo for the casserole.

Two weeks ago I had you at 160.8, last week --last Thursday, I believe, you sent me a weight for 157, the weigh in today was 157-correct?? Forgive me if I got it wrong. I don't ever want it to look like you aren't losing at least until you get to goal!

    Broccoli casserole sounds yummy!:flowerforyou:

Last night I made homemade sesame chicken and had it over 1 cup of white rice. Very tasty. I also make chicken pot pies with extra veggies in them. Very yummy.

For dinner last night I made some pasta with pesto sauce & sliced chicken breast. Very tastey - a bit steep on the calorie side, but everything in moderation, right??!!
Tonight, I'm thinking of either ground turkey tacos or homemade pizza... too early to decide!!

Taradise, chicken pot pies sounds D-lisious!! & Sesame chicken - very fancy!!

Great job everyone on this weeks losses!! I'm really hoping to be back down next week!!

Chrissy, you are so stinkin close to your goal!! You've come along way & have so much to be proud of!! Thank you for letting me/us be apart of this journey with you! You are such an inspiration!!

I've gotten into the very bad habit of going back for 2nds at dinner!! I've tried drinking a full glass of of water beforehand & that's helped, but I've not been doing that lately. Anyone else have this problem?? Would you be interested in making this a challenge?? Either drinking a glass of water with dinner or if you're struggling like me, 1 dinner serving. LMK!!

    Make it a great day!!

I have a problem with eating too much a dinner too. I can have a perfect day and the 3 pm hits and I lose all control so to speak. I think a challenge of one dinner serving--seconds of vegies ok if still hungry would be a great challenge.

All the dinner ideas sound great! I ended up having waffles. They were way too good, and I ate too many-but I had them with applesauce so that is ok right??

Sounds great!! I agree - 2nds on veggies are fine!! ... as long as they're not covered in butter & cheese!!

So excited!! I think that this will really help!!

I used to eat to much for dinner too. But now I measure my portion and tell my self that's it.. no more. I eat it slowly, drinking water in between bites. However, I ALWAYS allow myself a low calorie dessert. It gives me something else to look forward too and satisifies my sweet tooth. I don't mind the smaller dinner knowing I have a sweet snack coming up

On a side note, I just made a weight loss reward chart with my husband. Every 5 pounds I get something with increasing value! I'm excited to get my new items!! -15 lb High Heeled Boots here I come!!!

I always went back for 2nd helpings. As long as the food was there!!! <--- important part.
You can't have 2nd helpings if there is nothing to take.

What I've done to avoid 2nd helpings. So this might need some tweaking if your cooking for a family.

Making extra food is great when cooking and having for lunch/dinner the next day.
As your serving your dinner, serve your extra meals ie into tupperware.
I'll have my 2 plates and 2 tupperware containers on counter. Serve all 4 meals.

I know if we go eat out somewhere, we should get 1/2 of it in a doggy bag to go. That will help portion the big meals we get from some restaurants.

The only one I still struggle with is when I go over to family function, and there's tons of food, all laid out on the table, buffet style for everyone to go help themselves.

On that day I try to have smaller meals or not much calories earlier in the day, and my 2nd helping will consist of the healthier stuff that's on the table. Meat, salad, veggies.

On a good note, FINALLY people have noticed I've lost weight and making comments, asking what I've done, how much I've lost.
I've said thanks, enjoy the compliment and tell them I'm around 1/2 way, or still 30lbs to go.

I like the idea of no 2nd helpings - I have been slacking there to - I log it and am ok - but I need to be sure to keep my portion control intact. I always drink water with dinner. but maybe I'll try to drink 8 oz BEFORE dinner and see how that goes...

I started a half marathon training this week - bit imtimidating when I look at week10 and it's a 9 mile run....up to 13.1 on week 12....it may take me a little longer than the 12 weeks if I need to repeat a week or step up miles a little slower but I'll get there...the program itself mimics almost what I've been doing except on Thursdays, today, I have a double whammy - strenght and running 3 miles....I did strength at 5:45 this morning and I will run at lunch. Me a half marathon - who would ever have thought that I'd go for it....but here I am!

I hope to hit my goal before Jan 1....8 pounds over these 3 months should be right on...I've been averaging about 3 per month recently so I should be able to say 2010 will begin maintenance....

Eating out tonight after son's football game with friends--so once again I'll be within calories but a big chunk of them in one sitting - I've been trying to spread them out - I loose more when I'm able to

    tttthumper - feels good doesn't it-compliments and 1/2 way - thats progress!
taradise - you'll have to post pictures of the boots when you get them!

Eating out is my downfall too - I do make much smarter choices than I did "before" but there's so much hidden crap in food. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich at a Pizza place we go to - said no butter on the bun - she comes back out and asks is it ok for them to grill the chicken in butter - I was like NO! I dont think it should be legal to call it grilled chicken if you are putting butter all over it on the Griddle.

You wonder what they're thinking. No butter on bun, would mean to me no butter with/on your meal.
"Oh she doesn't want butter on the bun, but let's put double on the chicken ;) "
At least she did come out and ask you if it's ok.
Compared to not asking and them doing it anyways.

smadag-So how did your run feel?

I am supposed to rest today but I really don't want to especially since tomorrow is only cross training - but after doubling up yesterday my legs are telling me I need to lay low - maybe a walk later???

It felt great the distance I run is getting longer, I walk less and less each time. I think I am going to end up having a rest day today because Hubby and I are going to diner then a movie. I might have time to shred after the movie but right now I am not planning on it. I have worked out 3 days i na row so I am starting to get back in the grove and off my butt. Now I just need to work on what I eat :grumble:

I am realy excitred to be part of this team:flowerforyou:

I'm still in a non workout funk! When you're jobless, you can think of a million better things to do with a whole day of nothing. Today I'm actually being productive though, whereas my normal day just consists of working on my car, meeting up with friends, and a nap or two. I've cleaned a bathroom today and I'm working on doing laundry and rearranging/reorganizing my bedroom. I'm sure by lunchtime I'll be reading a book or napping, but hey at least I was motivated for a little while.

I have not been wanting to work out lately--I was trying to get up first thing in the morning and do it. Now I still get up and put on my exercise clothes and I can't change or shower until after I exercise. I have been walking my daughter to school in the morning and then exercising, and then showering. I really don't feel as though I get much accomplished in the day when I don't shower until 1 p.m. My daughter (6) is sick today so I really have not done as much as I planned. I did however walk on the treadmill for an hour. Not bad for how little I actually wanted too. Sometimes it helps to just get started!

On an interesting note, the short sale we thought would go to a higher bidder, the bank is now looking at our offer. The higher bidder didn't get back to the realtor to say they were interested still so I guess it is looking up. Short Sales stink though. I hate all the waiting and guessing! :grumble:

    Have a great one!

debnu - I hope the house works out..

You can burn as many calories walking as running or a more intense cardio - it just takes longer - don't say it like that's not a great thing-give yourself credit. When a child is sick it seems to turn everything upside down doesn't it! Mine are older now (17 and 13) so it's getting easier to have ME time....I can just leave them by themselves!
