I am older than the microwave and the VCR.

I know what a VCR is. I remember when you could rent them from Blockbuster.

    I know what Blockbuster is.

When Betamax videos could be rented from Blockbuster shops. Hell, when Videostar 2000 was a viable option VCR!!

I saw Alice Cooper's 'Billion Dollar Babies' tour in 1974. A unknown band named ZZ Top opened.

Paying $1 to see Star Wars and thinking... "gee whiz! Movies are getting expensive."

Paying $10 on gas actually got you something... now the kid won't even pump your gas for that.

You were the remote control for the TV. I remember laying on the floor and Dad kicking my feet when he wanted me to get up and change the channel.

We only had three channels... CBC, CBC French, and CTV. And if you didn't like Hockey you were SOL.

Rotary dial phones... your finger would always slip somewhere near the last number. You'd hang up and start over. Or just hang up cuz it wasn't that important. It was often faster to just go across the street to see what your friends were doing.

You remember spending 25 cents on a bottle of pop, getting the deposit back and having money to buy penny candies. And they WERE a penny each.

Life before anyone ever heard of Alzheimers... people just got childish or senile. Now where was I again....

Watching people actually take off in rockets. When was the last time you saw that on TV?
