Read them and loved them. Though I have to admit by about the middle of book three I was craving more of a plot. But overall I really enjoyed them.

I just have one question............Where can I find my own personal Christian Grey?

    Craigslist.

It's this kind of ignorant trash that sets feminism back decades. Women who defend this book are, however unwittingly, participating in some of the most blatant misogyny I've ever witnessed, giving the impression that some women enjoy being debased, abused, and controlled (outside of a consensual dom/sub relationship). This is not a book about BDSM, this is a book about one sick, abusive man and his obsession with a young, naive invertebrate. It's a book about a girl who has absolutely no sense of self, who sacrifices any pretense of individuality in order to hold onto a man who doesn't even show her the faintest glimmer of respect. It's about two attention-starved individuals with the emotional maturity of toilet paper convincing themselves that their relationship is 'like, the best thing ever, OMG'. It's trite, insulting, and dangerous. I fear for any impressionable young women who read this and think that this is how an ideal relationship should operate. If nothing else, it should be issued as a guidebook to mothers around the world to show their daughters the kind of man to avoid at all costs. This book does good men (and indeed, all of humanity) a disservice.

I read the first one and have no interest in reading the rest. I heard she keeps going on about her "inner goddess", and I really have no interest in reading all her repetitive phrases and how much Ana keeps "blushing furiously".

this was the worst book ever written. Should be called "50 Shades of Crap"

How this is considered a well written book is beyond me. It was a waste of time.

I posted this review on my FB because I agreed with whole heartedly! Stupidest. Books. Ever!

However, having said that, I'm a teacher, so I love it when people read....even books I don't like. So other people can read the series; I wouldn't waste my time. Read other great books like The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, The Help, The Book Thief, Girl With the Dragon Tattoo series, anything!

I read the first book, it was really good. The 2nd book I'm more into the plot of what's happening though and the sex crap is getting old.

the writing is pretty awful and redundant, but the sex crap never gets boring.....and the fantasy of having a sexy, gorgeous billionaire who gets a 10 in bed.....priceless

I couldn't even get through the sample I downloaded on my Kindle. It read like the work of a horny teenager.

bahahahahah LOVED That review! Thank you!

I read like 150 pages of the book and was too annoyed with the whole contract/controlling every aspect of her life to continue.

I actually liked the books. They are not great works of literature or anything, but still enjoyable.

I haven't read the book and I have no intention at all to do so.

I like gifs though, so I checked OP's link. That was a fun read lol

Those reviews are hilarious. I just finished reading all 3 books and feel pretty much the same way she does.

LOL WTF? Some of you guys really need to lighten up. You could say the same thing about ANY Disney princess movie. Ariel sacrificed her family and who she was for a man she barely knew at the age of 15 lol. Can we talk about THAT? I think its HILARIOUS that so many people are getting their panties in a wad over a stupid book. I read all three of the books and I wasn't offended at all because it's NOT REAL. It was written for entertainment purposes ONLY. When people watch porn do they expect it to have a compelling storyline? NO. I personally found it entertaining and funny. It's exactly like the corny Harlequin romance novels that they sell at the drug store. I've been reading those since I was a teenager and you don't see me letting my boyfriend abuse me lol. Also, I don't really find Christian to be abusive to be completely honest. Over protective and crazy? Yes. Abusive? No. What's wrong with getting spanked in the bedroom?! lol I can't believe so many people are so angry over this book. The best part about it is that the fuss just makes the book more popular because it makes people buy it out of curiosity.

Soooo how is this going to be a movie? Is it going to be on p0rntube or something?

Seriously. It's supposed to be mostly sex right? I would love to watch all the mommies reading this crap going to see this movie with all their mommy friends and not be uncomfortable.
