The dude standing at the front of the store when you come in makes me laugh! I want to buy some Lulu Lemon clothes because I hear their super comfy and good quality. I just don't want to wear the logo cause a lot of people I meet who wear Lulu Lemon are obsessed with it and seem really trendy. Cannot stand trendy people! (Let me just add, I'm not saying everyone who wears Lulu Lemon is trendy, before I get some angry replies!)

    LOL

I honestly never considered buying their clothes until this spin line came out. I had never even heard of lululemon until about a month ago and I go to the gym all the time. I am so dumb sometimes.

I could never workout in sweats/tees. I sweat way too much! Hearing the positive feedback makes me want to cheat and buy their clothes before my goal. So bad!

I've commented on this before. I wear lulu lemon's sometimes..and yes they are expensive...

Very. But they fit good. And yes, I work out HARD to fit into them.

in my current pic(for now at least till I change it.. I am wearing Lucy's ...yet another expensive BRAND.)

But I also wear cheap clothes I get at places like Target, Rainbow and this one hoochie place on the net...

I got this entire camo outfit for $12.00

    And I still got haterz.

I get hated for buying expensive and when I try to save money...wow..I still got haterz. I wonder why...

Oh..yeah, maybe i didn't work out hard enough to fit into them.

C'mon...give me some love for saving money. You don't have to spend money on lulu lemons. You can spend $12 and look REALLY good.

Or is it NOT about the money. It's about how dare someone want to look GOOD. How dare she not wear sweats and a baggy tee. How dare she admit to working out to look SEXY as opposed to working out for cardiovascular health!

Let's put it out in the open and not hide behind "lulu lemons" and hating on trendsetters. It's about HATING people who can fit into those clothes, isn't it?

It's about people that can fit into things like Lulu's and those that can't. I get just as MUCH hate wearing my BRAZIL shorts that are $6.00 as I do with $90 Lulu lemons.

And for the people that hate trendy people.. I am not trendy...I wont' wear it if I don't look good in it. But I am a bit of a fitness exhibitionist (OBVIOUSLY) I LIKE extremely formfitting, flattering workout clothes. That's what I like. Sweats don't do it for me.

I've never had a body like this. Not even when I REALLY did serve my country and had to wear real fatigues.

I love my womanly body. I sweated buckets for it.

I am going to SHOW my HARD WORK off, whether it's lulu's or cheap stuff.

I wear some plus size clothing and a Size 12 in lulu is too big for me, so yes their sizes can be forgiving. Do i enjoy paying the huge prices for them? Not really. But I love the way their hoodies fit. My fiance bought me my very first one last January when I made it to my first target weight. I buy them only for the way they look and feel on me, not to work out in!

Apriltrainer - if you're wearing THAT to the gym then I doubt the hate you're getting is because of the price.

Any place that sells a headband for $18 should be avoided by all people, fat, thin or fit. :drinker:

I can't believe you are still complaining about this.
    go to the gym.
    work hard.
    don't care about other people.
    WORK HARD.

you are hating a STORE when you should accept responsibility for NOT looking as good as you want. Get over it. It's a gym, not a fashion show for the love of Pete!

Is this in response to OP who posted this almost SIX MONTHS ago? Or is it to someone in the TEN+ PAGES of discussion that followed?

I can't believe you resurrected a MONTH OLD thread to express your ambiguous incredulity.

i didn't resurrect an old thread. it's like a bad penny, it keeps showing up. i am simply reexpressing my opinion, which is what I am entitled to do. Curious... what about that reply was ambiguous?? I was very clear in my reply.

    1. Yes you did. Post before yours: Sun 12/16/12 05:46 PM. Your post: Sat 01/12/13 08:32 AM. That's about a month.

    2. Huh? I explained the ambiguity in my post. Your post says you can't believe someone is "still complaining about this", but I can't figure out who the "someone" is. So no, you were not very clear. However, I thought my questions looking for clarification of your subject were very clear.

Edit: because plurality of verbs matters.

Meh. I was 247 at my highest, and dropped sizes so quickly so affordability was important to me. Go to Target or Walmart till you get to your goal size then splurge on lululemon. They can do what they wanna do, won't stop me from buying from them.

I completely understand why you feel the way you do! I certainly feel the same and I was very recently too big for their clothes... well too big for almost every piece of clothing I had except maternity wear *cries deeply on the inside*.

I wish they did make sizing that was more fitted to those that want to lose weight by making them in sizes for every woman!

I ended up buying cheap clothes from winners that were similar but in a size that fit me. I thank god that since I have lost a total of 16 lbs I can now manage to fit in their larger sizes with ease and am now on my way to properly fitting a medium (instead of a nice big muffin top)

In any case there are alternatives that aren't Lulu's but are just as good :) One day though they will see the light and make clothes to fit all their potential customers :)

I had to go online to look this up - I live in the UK
And yes - up to size 14 only here - which is a 12 in the USA!
You are justified in feeling snubbed by this chain. Fat people need appropriate workout gear, but these companies cater only for the glam girlies who go to gyms in designer workout gear IMHO to pose and show off. If you are size 14, you really dont need to work out hard, and a pair of jogging bottoms and a nice T would look as good, with the appropriate gym footwear - thats what I wear and I am a large size 18 - getting smaller.
Personally, I dont go to the gym often, I cant afford to, but when I do, its to use the machines that I cant use elsewhere and wearing designer gear isnt top of my needs. So if you want nice gear to work out in, then do as your other friends suggest - shop elsewhere.

Finally, if you are tiny, wear designer workout gear and go to the gym to work out and you have NO intention of posing or showing off, then I apologise unreservedly to you. There are exceptions to every rule.

LL has decided that the best way for them to maximize profit is to not make clothes for fat people. It's not personal, it's business. All you can control is how you respond. Instead of whining about LL, how about buying from their competitors, or starting your own line of chubby peoples' workout clothes?

I recommend the following website for larger sized exercise clothing*: http://www.aerotechdesigns.com/

*As for spandex on fat people, I just wear something over it.
