I'm just old-fashioned in many ways and to say something like that on a coed site is yuck in my opinion but I know some don't care or have been taught it's ok. Maybe I'm the one that's wrong. So maybe I'll just join in and say I hope you unload sooner then later.

    TMI, grief:noway:
I have been on track with my eating & excersing but it seems like ever since I've started MFP I've been going A LOT less then I normally do. I feel bloated! HELP!

everyone poops. how is it TMI?

I'm sorry if this is a problem for you to see/read- this is a health/ diet site-- It has nothing to do with etiquette- Bowel problems and other things are often a problem with health/diet/life/weight changes- this is a topic that some people need help with. If you don't or won't discuss this with people to get help that's fine- move on.

I have a shot (or two) of peach Schnapps. Archers is my drink of choice. Sweet, and smooth.

I have added Metamucel (smooth orange flavor) to my diet foods and it helps greatly. I take 1 tull tbsp w/8 oz of water twice a day. It will help you. I have less bloat than I have in my whole life. That stuff works! And it makes you feel full. I actually have no afternoon low cal/fat snack anymore.
    GOOD LUCK.

My advice is: more fiber, and a lot more water. Sometimes coffee can help move things through, but it doesn't work for everyone. After not pooping for a week it might be a hard and possibly a hurtful poop, so be prepared. Also drink a little bit more water the day your bowel finally moves itself. If you can't go by yourself don't by shamed to buy some helpful things. My go-to product every single time is Phillips. Do not take more than what's recommended on the package or you might end up having a wild time in your bathroom, including vomiting. I usually do a swallow or two before bed, and it does it's magic in the middle of the night while I'm sleeping. The next morning brings relief. I take Phillips because it helps your body digest the 'stuck' food without cramping or those "I gotta go NOW" moments. You might be missing an important nutrient out of your diet, so I'd look into that. Phillips has magnesuim which is what really helps me digest.

If this is a continuous problem, please don't be scared to see your doctor about it and discuss.

    bahahahah... this made me laaaaauuuuugh!!

I keep powdered metamucil for these occasions. You can also get a variety of OTC laxatives (you can talk the options out with a pharmacist). If the problem persists, see your Dr and bring a printout of your food diary with you.

Also, I don't know if it's been mentioned before, but you seem to eat a lot of cheese, which is known to make you feel bunged up. Maybe stop that for a couple of days and see if that helps?

I'm so glad you posted this! I just started MFP last week and I use to go everyday and now I go like once every 2 days and it's not very much. It was starting to freak me out but I think it's because my body isn't use to not eating fast food all the time and the general cut down in calories.

I'd like to clarify one point in that post (which is fabulous btw)

"(which I believe is akin to making your eyeballs look in different directions, i.e. impossible)"

Not true my friend I can do that ;)

I love cheese! LoL I can't enjoy it like I did before this diet (I did eat much more prior, like, every time I passed the fridge, I'd take a slice!)
