Anyone read this? I just finished and thought it was awesome! Im kinda depressed because now i have nothing to read or look forward to read, lol. Anyone know of any books similar to twilight, 50 shades if grey or anything like mitch alboms books?

Read Bare to You by Sylvia Day. I know what you mean, I get depressed when books are over. Oh, also read JR Ward, Black Dagger Brotherhood. The first is Dark Lover, you'll love it. Happy reading!
Black dagger brotherhood is my favorite series. There are 9 books.... everyone will of them are good. Also the midnight breed is also a good series... there is also 9 books

Bared to you was great. I liked it even better than 50 shades (which I also loved!) I can't wait till the next one comes out (after Bared to you...it's also going to be a trilogy and the second book comes out in October I believe).

I have seen excerpts of this nonsense floating around on the internet and it terrifies me, for a few reasons. First, it started off as Twilight fanfiction. I have nothing against fanfiction (how could I? I write it myself), but I have everything against Twilight (and yes, I did indeed read Twilight back in the day, when I was a 16-year-old-girl who thought it romantic--and then again in a college class, where I was finally disillusioned by the terrifyingly poor prose, ugly plot and character development, and undertones of sexism and racism). Second, those I know who have read it have been horrified by how it portrays a D/s relationship, because it is unequivocally incorrect. Third, erotica is awesome. Poorly written erotica is not.

Read something...else. For the sake of your brain. :flowerforyou:

I... do NOT understand the 50 Shades obsession, but I was the same with Twilight.

But, if you're after some good romancey/dark sort of reads, may I recommend:

The Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter series by Laurell K Hamilton (though after about book 10 or so it just gets unreadable with the erotica... I say erotica, I mean porn)

The Women of the Otherworld series by Kelley Armstrong

And, even though they're young adult novels, the Wolves of Mercy Falls series by Maggie Stiefvater.

    *bangs head*

How many of these threads are there going to be?

The book SUCKED. The sex SUCKED. The BDSM was far from real life. The writing was poor. Anna was a wishy washy girl who, if I didn't know she was supposed to be in her twenties acted like she was thirteen. I found it hard to believe that she had never been kissed, never touched herself and didn't know what all those "strange and tingly feelings DOWN THERE were. I found it to be incredibly sophomoric. Truth be told I skimmed through the book looking for the good parts -- which didn't exist -- and didn't even bother with the rest of the series.

Anyone who wants a true/funny/harsh review of 50 Shades should read this one: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/340987215

I've read all three and I must say that it's all utter crap. If you like it, whatever...but it's total garbage. :flowerforyou:

50 Shades was an awesome series! I too was left wondering what to read. I started a series called House of Night. I am loving them very addicting, they are somewhat Twilight-ish (teen vampire romance)

I have got them all from my local library, #10 comes out in October.

I enjoyed them as well... yes, not the best writing however I am easily entertained. I think anything that can take me away from the reality of my life is pure enjoyment! I enjoyed the Twlight series as well... crazy but again toooook me far away from bills, childrem husband, and a the chaos called my life! I suggest the Vampire Academy Series by Richelle Mead. There are 6 books in all (thick-Twlight length +) Then another character made a new series which currently has 2 novels in the series... 3rd comes out next Spring. Not as sexual as 50.... but a great read.... sad when it ended!
