What do you listen to when you run?

Here's why I don't listen to anything while I run: Years ago my friend was running with her Walkman and didn't hear the car behind her' she stepped in front of it, got hit, and was lucky all she broke was her leg.
I run outdoors, and I want to hear the vehicles around me.
^^^ For safety purposes and to focus on my breathing and form I don't listen to anything. Think less of distracting yourself and more of focusing on your form and the beautiful world around you. On a treadmill I"m just hoping to not fall off so any distraction there is bad too.0 -
Running on a street, I stay vigilant.
Running at a track, I break out Information Society.
42 minutes = 4 decent paced beginner miles.0 -
As far as safety reasons go, I do run with only one ear covered while running. I don't run on roads much so the car thing isn't really an issue, but I prefer to know if others are around.0
