What do you do when people keep staring?

I find that sometimes when I'm lost in thought mulling some deep things, I watch someone somewhat absentmindedly and do not realize that I'm looking at the person more than I should until that person reacts. This could be true for some people when they appear to be watching you.

I do anything to ignore and not acknowledge it. i.e. my phone just became really interesting, there is a sign I have to read across the street, I just have to finish the last paragraph of my book.

However, most of the time when this happens to me, I am on the L and the creeper will be just sitting or standing next to me. I hate it! They never talk, they just stare for the entire train ride.

My daughter dropped my son and I off a little while ago after watching her kids and while we were walking towards our apartment we saw the upstairs neighbor's face pressed against her window screen watching us. My son said (plenty loud enough for her to hear) "why is that woman staring so hard at us?" I cracked up laughing. :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

I think it is maybe one of the pitfalls of getting fit and looking good.

I usually feel pretty uncomfortable when anyone stares. I start to wonder if I have something on my face or shirt or whatever. However, be it a cute guy, it perks up my confidence just a little :P

I stare back until they look away.

Once a guy on the street at a red crosswalk kept looking me up and down, he wouldn't make eye contact. So I asked him "What's your f-ing problem?" He ended up crossed while the light was still red.

You could also try walking with an obvious limp whilst dribbling out of the corner of your mouth. They may still stare but when you catch their eye they will soon look away.

i think this happens to a lot of women......i don't know whether it's good or bad sometime either but i know i don't look bad....i take it as a compliment

Sometimes they say hi back, sometimes they look like I just said something insulting :S

This reminds me of a video on youtube with a guy talking about when he accidentally went on the women train compartment in Japan.
Everyone was staring at him a lot and he's like "Daaaamn I look good today!".
Girls get stared at: "Is there something wrong with me?"
Guys get stared at: "I'm looking good today!"
Not always true but funny
