I was pretty happy to lose 0.5 lbs this week. Not the 2 that I am set for, but I don't think that is in the cards for me anymore. It is really hard for me to stay within the 1200. As long as I am moving downward (slowly but surely!), I'm okay with slow loss. It went really fast at first, and now I'm ok with where I am. Just 0.5 more lbs. before I am in the healthy BMI! Yippee!!

Congrats to everyone who lost and to those who didn't, keep on truckin'

And Kandy, your post on the first page was pretty inspiring...and it was your excitement about Zumba on facebook that got me out running again! :flowerforyou:

Anything that isn't a gain is great news girls!! Keep it up!

And to those who gained, it's prob just water weight!! Don't forget it takes around 3,000 EXTRA calories to gain a lb!

On that note- :noway: holy crap was I wrong about a restraunt that sounds like jeb jobbin. :grumble: I got the Chicken fajita meal, only used sour cream spareingly, only used 2 tortillas but I ate all the veggies and chicken. My alotted calories for dinner- 560 acutal calories for dinner- 1490.   I figured since I only got the fajita I'd have cals for a few fries. WRONG! lol

I was over about 527 cals and 46 grams of fat. SIGH!* Thats what I get for not asking to see the nutritional info. :blushing:

    Live and Learn girls! lol

Great my fiance just reminded me I had two cheese sticks too. grrrrrrrrrrrrr

  I heart Mexican food !!!!! When I'm in the mood for it, I don't even want to think about the amount of calories I'm shoving down my throat. There is no way I would enjoy it.... So, I will just keep it to a once a month sort of thing  Maybe a reward for when I do REALLY, REALLY good

At least your DOWN some poundage!!!!!
    !@#$@#$#
Ok, sorry..... Let me compose myself......

I started doing really good this week.... Got out of my "rut".... and I didn't budge... So, I'm hoping this next week will show a little encouragement....
I do have to say this though.... Regardless of the fact that my scale didn't move this week... I am feeling so much better by being back on track. Its amazing how doing the right thing for your body reflects in your mood and your overall view of yourself.
I was starting to feel really grumpy... really put out with myself... for falling back into the OLD LIFE (lol...that just sounds funny...but an acurate description).... Now that I have gotten back to drinking my water like I'm supposed to...in the process of giving up Coke... AGAIN (@#@%#$%) and back to working out... I feel so much HAPPIER. AND... just for a little LUUUUVVV advice (I typed "love" in my very best Barry White impersonation there).... and for the Bow Chica Bow Bow section of this post.... When I'm taking care of myself and working out.... I'm more inclined to ....ahem.... get it on with the hubby  So, there are perks all around girls  Lets ROCK IT this next week.... FOR US!!!

Bumping for our late in the week weigh-ins
  • I'm not going to weigh in on Friday this week girls. I'm moving my weigh ins to Mondays, so I'll weigh in for next week's stats. I was pretty off earlier this week so I'm kicking my bum in gear these last few days and hoping that I'll at least stay, if not lose -some- weight by Monday. That, and with the holiday's coming up and my weigh ins being at the doctors, moving it to Mondays is good, because they're rarely closed on Monday, but often on Friday.

Hi everyone ... I've been MIA lately ... really slacking in my efforts. I apologize for this because I love the support and encouragement I get from these posts and I want to do the same for all of you. Well today's a new beginning for me ... I did it ... I JOINED A GYM!!! I go for my first assessment on Sunday ... I can't go tomorrow because I have tickets to a show ... but Saturday morning I'm joining in on a Zumba class. I can't wait. I've done Zumba to a DVD and I loved it but I can't wait to be in a live class ... it should be soooo much fun!!!

I was just reading something about Thanksgiving and all the plans and meals and stuff and it makes me glad that I'm Canadian ... ours is over and done with so that temptation is gone for me. Good luck to all my American MFPers with that.

I just got back from the gym ... I love it there ... such a great atmosphere and all of the staff seem great so far. I did a Zumba class ... it was way fun. Tomorrow is my first assessment and then I'll get set up to learn how to use the equipment and balance ball and stuff. It's nice to have something new to get me back on track (although the Cora's breakfast after the workout wasn't exactly the healthiest choice ... but ... yummy). The weather here is beautiful and hopefully it will be the same tomorrow ... my friend and I will do a big hike after I'm done at my assessment if all goes as planned. Happy weekend all ... talk to you soon.

The Canadian Thanksgiving was October 11th. That was the weekend I spent hiking in Tobermory with my BFF. What an awesome weekend that was.

Hey ... isn't it cool? We joined a gym at the same time. I loved Zumba today ... I'm sure you'll love it too. I'm way excited about learning how to use the equipment and stuff too. I'll be doing some aqua fit (which I haven't done in years), and a Latin Dance class, and there's a Belly dancing thing I might even try too. And I have 4 hours of personal trainer time too ... I saw the boxing trainer in action with someone today and WOW ... it seemed pretty intense and a really hard workout ... I can't wait to try that. I hope he doesn't make me cry ... LOL. Anyway, congratulations on joining the gym ... we'll have to compare stories.

I'm VERY disappointed. I just heard that they are canceling Zumba at my gym because of some really childish reasons... Apparently it was a "he said, she said" sort of thing... I HATE that gossip just got rid of the class that I really LOVED.... They fired the instructor without really even getting her side of the story.... I'm upset

Awe Kandy ... how very disappointing. I'm sorry to hear that. I hope they plan on hiring a new instructor soon. You should try to get certified and give the classes. You would probably rock at it ... your energy is addictive.
