    5. Do you eat back exercise calories? (Y/N) No**

**I did not start eating exercise calories back until I hit 170 lbs and 32% bodyfat. I am eating them back now. I decided to start eating more because I want to workout harder and my workouts need the fuel. My focus is more fitness now and less weight loss although I'm still losing. My body fat is moving faster than my weight at this point however.

    Edit- calories 1300
That is very good progress. You lost 64 lbs of weight and maintained a lean body mass of 120 lbs from start-to-finish. Lifting heavy with high protein will certainly help do that. Good job.

    5. I don't track exercise calories. My eating is determined by 8 months of food and weight tracking data to establish my TDEE. I set my deficit (well surplus ATM) from that. I eat 3500 calories 3 days per week and 2750 calories 4 days per week

** I got down to 179 lbs, 14% BF before starting my current bulk. I plan to bulk to 190lbs then cut back down to 175-180 lbs with close to 10% BF.

The first month I ate a standard basic 1200-1500 calories/day. After joining MFP I learned about TDEE or the important of BMR. I now eat, net, no less than my BMR calculated about 5-8 pounds ago, of 1430 calories/day. I do my darndest to eat my exercise calories back of roughly 400-600 calories a day. I typically gross about 1700-1900 calories a day. I feel good and nowhere closer to feeling deprived! My diary is open if you want to see that. Feel free to ask me any questions if you need to.
Good luck with your research! I think it's awesome... :)

    SW: 132
    SBF: No idea
    CW: 107
CBF: No idea really. Measurement varies from 16-20 but that is with that digital thing that is known to be wildly inaccurate.

Eating exercise calories: usually, esp because i'm in maintenance. when i was losing i mostly ate them too, because i dont like being hungry; if I had extra (net calories) I didn't make a special point to eat them, though. All the better for the next day or so if I happened to go over. Also, I only counted actual intentional exercise calories (strength training and cardio, sometimes walking if i walked for miles and miles that day above my normal city walking) as exercise calories, not stuff like walking around or gardening.
