Posting today because ALL TIME LOW!!! After yoyoing through August I am loving this start to September!! Still need to buckle down on the water. I need to find a new fitress tracker because using my phone doesn't work well because I pace during phone calls and my phone doesn't move enough to pick up the steps, and I can't log the steps from my phone into MFP.6 -
Just reading thru the posts and realized tomorrow is another week gone! I have to admit my mind hasn't been on my food/exercise etc. since the weekend. As many of you know I live in SW Florida, I also live in a very nice 55 plus Golf and Country Club community BUT it is mobile homes and here comes Hurricane Irma!! Getting ready to evacuate in the next couple of days, many have left already. The problem being, no one knows where this hurricane is actually going...east coast, west coast, up the center of the state, out in the Gulf or all of the above!!! Our store shelves are empty, there are lines for gas and all they have left right now is Premium. Thousands are on the interstates heading north. That's the disadvantage of living in Florida, when fleeing a hurricane like this one, you can only go one way, north! It normally takes me about 7 to 8 hours driving to get to the state line, I can't imagine what it's going to take now! At this point, I am planning on only going as far as Kissimmee, FL (near Orlando) to a friend's site built, "hurricane proof" (if there is such a thing) home. Hopefully, that will be a safe place to be. I'll try to check in over the next few days, it's not suppose to hit here until the weekend. I have a lot to do around the house before I can leave, bringing in all the small items, patio furniture, empty the lanai, empty the freezer and refrigerator, etc. etc. I didn't empty freezer/frig for Charlie and came back to the awful mess of rotten food. I lived on an island that got a direct hit from Charlie and we weren't allowed back on the island for over a week and didn't have power back for almost two weeks, thus the lesson learned about emptying the frig! Don't expect any problems until Saturday or Sunday and I'll be out of here before then. I'll keep you posted! Hate to see what my weight will be in the morning- I stress eat!!

Hang in there, @bapcarrier - we're holding you, your friends and neighbors, in our hearts and prayers. Be safe!1

Hey, @happygirlxxx you've gone up one level already on the continuum from amotivation to self-realised: acknowledging you need and want some support. That's HUGE progress on not even knowing you are NOT motivated! Lean into your insight about the importance of reaching out: get into some other activity when the munchies hit; talk to the junk, "So, what are you really really going to offer me today, 8 toasts?"; call a friend; seek professional help; plan your day - be ready. Whatever works!2
-
I am just joining. I hope this works. You will be in our thoughts in Florida. Take care.2

@birgitkwood I did exactly what you said ... had my coffee, got my dog and went for walk and the did some exercise at home ... was not hungry until lunch time; I did have a big lunch, but was a healthy one ... not that bad. thank you for the reminder!!
@CQWellness I think for me MFP has been a great tool to lean on when losing track of my goal and that I need to continue my journey. I think I am getting comfortable with the 70lbs that I lost so far and I need to remind myself that is not just 70lbs, I need at least another 30lbs.
But now going back to my focus zone .... I will try to go walking every morning with my dog so at least I get some steps in.
Have a great week and dont forget to post your weekly weigh-in for the challenge!!!3 -

Well, I reinjured my back again. This time it's worse than before. Luckily, I was able to take a day off of work today to go to the doctor. I need to get this fixed!
I did not improve on my water intake ... I need to do better with that.
I'm just gonna try to hang in there and stay on track as much as possible ... not much else I can do at this moment.
@RobinB0812 and @bapcarrier hope y'all stay safe and out of Irma's path!
Welcome @pdrye5, @vaned, @MyBeth1, and any other new people that recently joined the thread.2 -

@happygirlxxx - yeah, "getting comfortable..." That's always been a bugaboo for me in the past. I'd "get comfortable" with my weight loss thus far, relax, and immediately start gaining again - plus a few extra. Over the years I am sure I lost - and regained - about a thousand pounds...
This is particularly "up" for me today because today is my three-montheversary having reached goal and kept it off. Frankly, that's a far bigger deal for me than having lost 120#s in the first place! I've never before been able to keep the pounds from sliding back on.
What's different for me this time is that it really has become a lifestyle change! When I reached goal I did not go back to eating like the old me. And I didn't stop exercising. I just continued to do what I was doing while losing, only allowing me a few extra daily calories and a luscious meal or dessert one a week or so. And tracking, tracking, tracking... that makes all the difference for me.
Word of warning from one who has been there - don't get too comfortable. That way madness lies... . Sending best wishes, Birgit4 -

As some of you know, I live in south Florida (Ft Lauderdale area) and yes, Irma is knocking on the door! I DON'T WANT ANY!! NO SOLICITING!! GO AWAY!!!
@bapcarrier - I can relate to your woes, that's for sure! I lost my roof after half my windows blew out during Wilma. I thought I was outsmarting everyone by waiting until Tuesday to run to the store instead of Monday when everyone was off for Labor Day. BIG mistake! I was able to get gas, but out of luck for water and bread. I have two cases of water, but would have liked two more. Stay safe!
@lydiapassthedonuts - thanks for your well wishes!!
I will not be evacuating per se. I hope to go to a friends apartment that is much more shielded from the elements than where I live. Rental housing is challenging as most places do nothing to protect their structures. I am not going to lie, I am nervous! Maybe even scared.
Until next time; wishing everyone Peace , Love and Weight Loss !!2 -

@BarneyRubbleMD what is your trick. Your summary shows you eat about 2200 calories a day. And exercised inside once ( or do you really mean outside cause your excuse says its hot or rainy LOL, always confuses me when i read it)
How do you lose so much weight each week? Is your metabolism super fast? Are you doing other exercise you arent listing? Are you on any sort of diet pills or following a diet like keto or something?
If i eat 2200 calories....i gain weight
Please share your secrets!3 -
Well I blew it today I Managed to stay a few calories under matainence level. My hole family has decided to share a terrible head cold and I feels like crud, so what do I do?? I apperantly blindly graze the cabinets looking for something to give me energy, but that never works. What I really need is rest, but there is no time with me being there for all the other sickies.1
