Yeah. I was not too fond of that iguana. I took it home and eventually donated it to a nature center to use for educational stuff. It was way too big to live in my house.

I don't see why this trade is so bad. If someone has an iPhone and wants a ferret in exchange, win win.

Now child sex trafficking and pornography, that I get absolutely livid about.

It's not the trade in and of itself. It's the fact that a pet owner thinks of their pet as a material object. It's probably in the animals best interest to get away from that person anyway.

That guy said his dog got blisters, which made me start thinking about creating some kind of doggie holster sling in case you need to carry it back down.

I'll give this award to the idiot kids that filled my neighbours fountain with soap last night destroying his property and killing nearly $3000 worth of koi.

Ok. I get facing a left or death situation and having to leave your dog. I would be in tears and hysterical as I walked away. I love my dogs more than most people and probably boardline too much in comparison with my hsuband and daughter. However, there would be nothing on this Earth that could stop me from going back to rescue her/them. It really makes me sick to my stomach just thinking about it now.

This. If I had to give my cat away for whatever reason, I would be near hysterical and would definitely take all the proper precautions and steps to make sure she was going to a good home where people were going to love her as much as I do. I would not go no Craigslist (which really is kind of the seedy underbelly of the internet) and trade her off for a phone, as if I were merely upgrading her. This guy having to get rid of his pet isn't what bothers me and he might not be a horrible person, but treating an animal like a commodity, with no regards for what kind of person ends up owning it next, really does.

We obtained our dog because some a-hole decided to drop him off at the end of our road the day before a big snow storm was about to hit back in March. Almost every day my husband and I wonder how someone could do something like that to an animal (or child. Doesn't matter which). He's the most sweetest, spastic, loving dog. He's got so much energy and all he wants is to play, be petted and loved. That's it. I swear the only reason he sleeps at night is because he has to LOL.

I know I posted that it was probably a joke but with all the jerks out there I'm sure it's not.

Someone tied a small dog with a jumprope to my old roommate's front porch during a snowstorm a few years ago. He took him in and found him a permanent home. I used to work in an exotic pet store and I left my car unlocked one night and someone left a full grown iguana in my car with a note saying they couldn't keep him anymore. It was freezing and they are cold blooded animals that require heat. People are idiots.

That must have been the weirdest thing, to find a fully-grown lizard just sat in your car! Ugh, some people are just sick.
