I have read this whole thread and it was totally worth it!
I have only lost 15 lbs (12 on here) but...
*I went from wearing about a 14 pants to a 12 but they are falling off of me now so I should move to a 10.
*My M T-shirts that I wear to work out in are getting so loose that they fall down over my but and make my legs feel restricted when I run so I don't wear them for running now.
*My upper arms are starting to show some muscle definition where it was just my forearms before.
*I wear spandex type running pants and only feel a little self conscious about my tummy (thank you c-sections) and not my butt and legs.
*I don't feel so bad when I look in the mirror
*I can add calories pretty well in my head without looking at cal info most of the time (I always check my work but I don't have too many big surprises when I enter my food).
*When I eat chocolate it's because I want to now and not because I know that it's in the house. (That is huge for me!)
*Aslso (editted to add) that now I can run over six miles (going for 7 Friday morning) at one time now without stopping when 1 mile was a huge deal in the past! Warrior Dash on 09/09/2012
Thank you everybody for all you posts, it was really great reading them all!0 -

* I don't look at exercise like a chore anymore
* I LOVE LOVE LOVE healthy eating
* I don't miss 90% of the crap I used to eat
* I'm way more active
* and MOST IMPORTANTLY - I'm happy0 -
I have only lost 33lbs but

I can wear a medium shirt instead of xl
I see my collar bone
I for once gave clothes away that are too big rather than too small0 -
I have only lost 34 pounds but
I am down 3 pant sizes
my bras are too big
I LOVE to exercise(who would of thought)
I choose healthier foods because I want them
I haven't had a soda in 8.5 weeks(when I started this journey)
I've lost 15.5"(probably more but I didn't measure till I was a month in)
I am obsessed with feeling my collar bones...lol
I feel the best I have felt my entire adult life
I feel PRIDE in myself
and BEST of ALL
I have helped my family get healthier. My kids and my husband are following my example. My 8yr old does 30 day shred with me and loves it , my overweight teenager is eating healthier and getting more active, they all ask to go for walks instead of sitting to watch a movie, etc.0 -
I have only lost 19 pounds... BUT:
* I'm actually going to the gym, getting on the treadmill, and challenging myself more every day. I used to be embarrassed to go to the gym but now I feel invigorated by it.
* I bought a medium shirt (rather than the extra larges I was wearing) and fit into it! I'm usually a large, but hey, I'll take the vanity sizing.
* My size 14 jeans almost fell off of me today, even though I was wearing a belt. One of my size 12 pairs gaps in the waist.
* I've tightened my belt five notches since starting.
* I can actually see my biceps developing! And I can feel abs developing too!
* My doctor was very impressed the last time I saw her, both with my improved bloodwork results and with my weight loss.0 -

This thread should be the poster child for the anti-scale agency.
Seriously the scale means jack ****. Never let it be the full indicator of progress.0 -
I have only lost 79 pounds...BUT:
I am now loose size 14 instead of a 22.
I am the smallest I have been since middle school (yea thats sad).
I have discovered that I do infact have cheekbones, a jaw line, and collar bones.

I have only lost 60 lbs but...
After 10 years, I'm no longer on medication for high blood pressure.
I no longer have to take meds for IBS or acid reflux either.
I'm much less worried about dying of a heart attack in my 40s like my mom did.
I can run 10 miles without stopping.
I can shop at Victoria's Secret because they carry my size.
I can fit into shorts I haven't been able to since I was in high school.
Painting my toenails is a lot easier.0 -
I have only lost 25lbs but...
Today I ran the first non-stop mile in my entire life!0 -
So many of us have a bad habit of saying, I have only lost 5lbs, 10lbs, 20lbs etc etc when we haven't hit our goal yet. I'm guilty of it too! So I was thinking we could encourage each other by playing a bit of a game and at the same time, remind ourselves of how far we have really come! Share your Successes behind your Success!
I'll start:
I have only lost 52lbs, but I......
Am now a size 10 INSTEAD of a size 20!
Can now wear Medium tops instead of 2X!
Can run for several minutes straight, when before I would get winded walking upstairs!
Can see my toes instead of my belly!
Can feel my hip bones! (Who knew I even had them?!)
Most Importantly --- I can trust myself to do what is healthy for me, but also not beat myself up if I don't always stick to the plan!
Okay this totally sounds like it should be my post... not sure what size you started out but I have lost 55 lbs
I can wear a 14 instead of a 20
I am working on being able to run a 5k (up to running 2 blocks walking one etc.)
I can see that I have hips and ribs when I am laying down and I can feel the hip bones regardless
I know I am getting healthier and stronger!!!
I have brought my A1C down to the 6 range instead of 11.3
I no longer get heart burn after eating
You rock girl, your achievements are outstanding0 -

I have taken off 80lbs but....
I am the smallest I have ever been in my life...
I went from a size 16 to a size 7(sometimes a 6)
I went from hating dresses and shorts to wanting to show off my nice thighs and calves.
I went from hating exercise to loving the feeling or sweat (even though I still have weeks of being lazy)
I went from not wanting to show my body off to my husband to parading around naked proudly
I went from being the fat, overweight wife, to the hot wife
But most importantly
I went from not wanting to be outside with my kids to chasing them around the yard when the weather permits!0
