Hey everyone! I just got done with a 10 pound challenge for Thanksgiving, and it really helped me out! So, I realized that it's exactly 5 weeks until New Years day today. I would love to have another challenge to push me along until then. Losing 2 pounds a week will get me to my New Years goal of losing 10 pounds (even though I really want to lose 11).
Anyone can join!! Weigh ins will be on Fridays. I'll start the stats:

i'm in! i lost wt for my 20th hs reunion, and since coming home have put back on 4#. so a new challenge could be great and bring me to my goal!

I haven't weighed any of these goals weights for more than 10 years ...:sad: at least. I would be Stoked if I could weigh 145 & blow everyone away at our Christmas Parties! Everyone is stick skinny but me...Every single year I'm the fat chick . I won't be as thin as they are but I'll sure feel good about myself without worrying if my Slimmers / Shapers are doing the job LOL:laugh:

I just wanted to let you ladies know I am so ready for this challenge. Fr these next five weeks I am going to really work hard to accomplish this goal by New Years. Here is my plan:
I am 5'0"tall, and I have just upped my calories from 1200 to 1300 a day. And I usually never eat my exercise cals unless I am really, really hungry.
I go to the gym T-W-TH and burn about 700-800 calories each time. I have classes M and F, so I always used that as an excuse to not go to the gym those two days. But I going to start pushing myself to go anyways. Starting today!

Luke 93... Good for you!! GREAT Plan!! You heard the saying~ Fail to plan... plan to fail ?
Today was my first day back... working out .(w/o)
I did 45 mins on the treadmill, some stretching, body weight exercises & did a few reps w/ hand weights , I feel GREAT & never knew how much I missed w/o or maybe its just knowing I am doing something GOOD for me & its been a long while.
I am right with you, I need to make a plan... ASAP. I am FINALLY ready to get it in gear!

I just joined the group No Sweets Until Christmas along with doing this challenge. I went without sweets completely for a week once and I lost 4 pounds! Now I've gotten to where I eat several a day again... but I had one treat tonight and I'm going to do my best to start fresh tomorrow and not eat sweets until Christmas! I've added up how many calories junk takes up and it's completely ridiculous! I know I can really make some progress by cutting them out.. it's only a little over 3 weeks. I know I can do this and I'm really positive/motivated about it! I can't wait to see the scale read 189 on New Years!!! That's my plan of action anyway... I've got the working out part down pretty good.

I am just going to keep running three times a week.. maybe bring it up to four. I am going to start training myself to run farther (from 5K to 8K). I am also going to bring back in 30 Day Shred for December. And REALLY try to guzzle water, since that is what boosted my weight loss a month or two ago, but I have gotten bad about it again. :blushing:0 -
Healthworks: You are completely right about having a plan. You started great today! Cardio and weights, that's awesome. I feel so much better doing strength training. When I first started out I was only doing cardio, but once I added in weights, my body just completely changed and my weight loss picked up a lot. Once you have your plan, it will all fall into place.
Lisa: I still can't believe how motivating groups can be. You joining that group will give you so much support for these next few weeks. You can do this for sure.
Stephanie: I loved when we had that water challenge in Bikini Babes, that was the only week I actually drank all my water. I have slacked since then. That is so awesome that you you are upping your running days. Running is still my weakness, but trying to break through.
We have some great plans so far. With support from each other we will stick to them and accomplish our New Years Goals! Good luck girls!:drinker:0 -

Luke.. it was a great idea for us to post our plans for others to see how we're all planning on meeting our goals by New Years.. it'll still be difficult to reach our goals, but if we all step up what we're doing it is possible!!!
I'm glad it's a new month.. thank goodness my motivation seems to be really high right now. Sometimes that will happen and it will fade overnight, but today it seems even stronger!:bigsmile:
Everyone.. it really does help to think about and write down (or type) what you plan on doing to achieve your goals. Maybe we can get some new ideas going, too.0 -

I am doing great so far...as of this morning i was down 2 lbs so far...hope it will stick.0

Here is my plan for December~
1) I know COUNTING my calories is the KEY & the hardest for me. The more I count the better I will get at picking the less for more food! (fruits & veggies) My MFP daily cal allowance-1330, my bmr -1305. I will stay with in 200- 300 cals, most days.
2) Eat 2 fruit & 2 veggies everyday and hopefully more!
3) 75 grams of protein.
4) Exercising 5 days a week- is a must even if its 20 mins on the TM @ 10 pm. I am aiming for 150 mins every week that includes 5-10 mins stretching everyday.
5) Drink 64+ oz of water everyday.
6) 7+ hrs of sleep every night.
Stephy I am having a hard time making the time to count my cals, I know when I dont there is no way of knowing how much I am eating.
