I am also 5'4"...239lbs. My goal is 129 (which is a great weight for my frame..etc)
I have been on MFP since January...only lost 5 lbs, then gained it back, plus 1!! Got tired of trying to figure it out on my own (obviously wasn't working!) and now I am working with a personal trainer 2 days a week. She has me doing a lot of body weight stuff, kind of like Cross Fit and Insanity. I am now back down the 5 original pounds...hoping to start seeing some progress!!
BTW: I work 2 jobs that are very demanding (cabinetry/carpentry...house remodeling). I have a daughter that's a senior in high school..so there are a lot of time consuming things happening with that. I also am a Worship leader at my church...so that takes up quite a bit of my time (especially during the holidays). I then have all sorts of things to do at home (cooking..cleaning..laundry..etc) I MAKE TIME to exercise!0 -

I would love to have some other people to help motivate me! I'm 5'5" and currently at 261. I started 2012 at 360 and have been working very hard to lose weight this year. I go to the gym 6-7 days a week and try to watch what I eat though I have good days and bad.0

I have been looking for one of these. I am 211 lbs and 5'2. My goal is to be 135 lbs. I've just started and only lost 1 lb so far. I know it's harder when you get heavier though because my thyroid started acting up and I have thyroid medication now. I'm only 20 and I feel like I should be at my prime but instead my health has held me back and I'm determined to feel and look my best.0

5'3" and 227. Teetering between cardio and weight training. Know training is in my best interest but working on training for a 5k in mid October. I was 212.74lbs (96.7kg) last year and after 14 months of MFP logging, I am now down to 148.5lbs (67.5kgs) and still going.
You are more than welcome to add me if you like, but if you do, please share your diary. There is no sense in being on MFP and wanting the support of others, if you aren't really ready to let them help you.
I have met some amazing people on here and we're all likeminded - nobody judges you.

I used to weigh 200 lbs in April 2012..it's hard at first but it gets easier with time. I'm here for support...good luck Beautiful :bigsmile:0

Hi My starting weight was 212 my highest ever was 215 I felt like unworthy of being happy or healthy all the junk food an dlack of exercise made it easy for me to be depressed. Only when I started to awaken to the clearity of what my life could be is when I took control I did not want to feel lazy with lack of energy to do basic things. Watch Brenda liegh turner this woman help open my eyes to what I had been doing to myself and if you slip up dont throw a pitty party agknowlege your mistake and move foward. This community is filled with great pepole going throgh the same struggels so your not alone add me as a friend if you like.0

Is there room for one more? I, too, am well over 200 and stand about 5'4". I'd like to lose about 70-80 pounds...again! I lost 67 pounds alittle over 9 years ago doing WW and walking at least two miles every day (outdoors or with Walk Away the Pounds dvds), but those darn pounds all came back...and brought friends.... So....here I am again! I've bounced back and forth between WW and MFP for quite awhile but decided alittle over a month ago to stick with MFP. I know exercise is the key, but have a hard time getting into gear and walking like I know I should!
I'd love friends, motivation and that often needed kick in the backside to "get with it" when I slack off!

Was 203, 3 weeks ago! On my way down just passed the 200's hope to never see 200 again. Every one hits those unmotivated times. This summer I thought I'd never get on it again and I met a friend of my sister that was also on MF and that was all it took. The Motivation Bus is around the corner, when it comes by hope on you will never regret it0

Hey all :-) I started here four months ago at 252lbs and I'm currently at 205lbs, edging closer to that magic 50lbs lost. I still want to lose another 50lbs to get to 150lbs and be in my ideal weight range. I'd like to hit 50lbs lost in the next two weeks.
Always happy to add new friends, especially those who are in the same weight range.
