YEAH. I lost another 0.8 lb. I actually saw the number 140, with a little extra. Of course, I stepped on the scale last night after the gym and it said 140.0, but I counted this morning's weigh-in as I know a lot was probably water loss. But yeah, 140 something. One more week to see if I can lose that 0.6... and then onto the next challenge.
GREAT JOB EVERYDAY. Whether you went up or down, just posting here is a success because it means you are still conscious and working at it!0 -

Cathy...nice job on the workout! It's always great to have those endorphins kick in! I went to a step class for the first time since I've been pregnant last night and it kicked my butt! But it felt GREAT! I can't wait to get myself back into shape! I'm hoping in another week or so I can add in a spin class again! Keep it up...we'll fall right back into place!

I'm resolute today --- I am going to kick my emotional binge eating in the butt!!!
I'm not even sure what emotions I've been eating lately, but it's going to stop.
I am back to logging my food. All my food. No exceptions.
I am back to reading labels and counting calories. No exceptions.
I am back to the gym, even if it IS only twice a week. Twice a week is better than no times a week! No exceptions!

it is like a light bulb goes off sometimes and things just make sense and kick it into gear.
i woke to a puppy who had another accident. this time in his crate, during the night. what a thing to do first before coffee. had to wash the crate, blanket, and his stuffed animals. DH didn't notice so had spots on the carpet again. now he's depressed he can't have his animals. he drags those things everywhere. i might get him something today.
finally got in my coffee and a biggest loser dvd. i have a bone density test his afternoon. right now the streets are flooded most places, it has done nothing but rain since the middle of the night. DH called and said downtown charleston streets are almost under water, and it's high tide. no good. poor drainage down there. he's glad is not there today.
well off to shower and get a few things done around here before i have to go.

Cathy, I can't imagine what Charleston looks like flooding at high tide!!! Glad hubby isn't in the thick of it!! Hope you can resolve things with puppy and his accidents, poor little guy.
I ate my breakfast as usual, and had my normal lunch. I thought I brought a diet Cheerwine (soda) but instead I accidentally bought "high octane" regular soda. :grumble: Luckily, I am going to the gym tonight so I can negate these 150 calories I'm drinking. (I'm not going to throw them out or give them away. Money is tight. I just have to budget them into my calories when I have them.)
I am full from lunch but I want to keep eating. It's that emotional thing happening again. Not sure what the emotion is, but I can recognize the desire to stuff myself beyond full. I'm not giving in -- instead I'm posting here about it!!
I do have a 70 calorie string cheese snack for this afternoon. Tonight I am going to the gym to run/jog. Looking forward to that immensely!!

Melanie: You are one pound under your goal for this 6 weeks! Holy crap! 16 lbs in 6 weeks. Are you feeling amazing?
Verda: Remember the serenity prayer. God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference. Do the best you can with dealing with your email account, but ultimately it's just some bad person causing trouble, and there isn't really anything you can do to make bad people want to be good. I'm sorry you have to deal with it though.
Cathy: Welcome back! It sounds like you got a nice big kick start and you are back on track! You're the third person I know who is training a puppy right now. I keep saying the next dog I get is going to be a puppy because my two were rescued at 1 year old and 3 years old and they have some habits that I haven't been able to break in 3 years. But puppy potty training sounds pretty awful too. At least it doesn't last too terribly long.
Patti: Even with all of the craziness going on in your life, you're still only one pound away from your 6-week goal! That's awesome!
Susan: I think what you said about the Oreos was very insightful for me. It was much easier for me to avoid them entirely than try to eat one serving. I wasn't thinking of it that way yesterday, but I will definitely think of it that way in the future. There really are some things I just avoid. Like donuts. I love them. If I start on them, I'm just going to keep wanting more and more. But really, my life is just fine if I don't eat donuts. I don't crave them unless I get started on them, and most other foods I can eat in small amounts without going crazy.
AmyLou and Tiff: You are my heroes. I maintained my first year of law school, and then fell apart the past two years. You've both got school and you're losing weight. That is no small task.
Lulabelle: Congrats on making it into the 140s!!
Lauryn: Welcome back to the weight loss wagon! No sweat over the soda. I even planned a beer into my food tonight! :drinker: I also love jogging. Now that I'm in the 220s, I'm going to start jogging again. I broke my foot when I was 13 and this is about the highest weight I can be to start jogging again without my foot hurting. I can't wait until the first time I hit my jogging groove again. It feels SO good!0 -

Ali, I DO feel great, thank you!!! I'm at the beginning of my journey and have alot to lose so it's coming off fairly easy right now. I'm just eating clean and getting my excercise in and it's working for me now. I was extremely suprised that I had such a great loss when I weighed on Tuesday......I've been horribly worried about the holidays but since I came through Thanksgiving I know I can handle this month:drinker:

Tell us a little about yourself.
Me in brief: 28 y/o newly single mother to a 4 year old diva-in-training . Just made it through my 'rough patch' and getting back into the swing of a happy life and back to eating right and exercising. I've lost 50lbs in 2 years.... slow and steady. I'm in no rush to the finish line. What I've lost has stayed off, even when I've backslidden, and that makes me happy!!
We'll be starting the new challenge next Tuesday, I guess. (I am bad with dates, haha.) We officially weigh in on Tuesdays, and some of us unofficially weigh in on Fridays.... as motivation to kick us through the weekends. In the beginning we listed our daily menus, but now you can see that by visiting each other's food diaries, I guess. We list receipes, talk exercise, talk life, and support each other. We've got the "vets" here and our newer members. Welcome to the Sixers!!!!0 -

Cathy: Welcome back! It sounds like you got a nice big kick start and you are back on track! You're the third person I know who is training a puppy right now. I keep saying the next dog I get is going to be a puppy because my two were rescued at 1 year old and 3 years old and they have some habits that I haven't been able to break in 3 years. But puppy potty training sounds pretty awful too. At least it doesn't last too terribly long.
he got into something or something didn't agree with him. so he couldn't help himself. i think he is potty trained now. at least what dog goes out in the pouring rain to poop and pee in the cold dark morning. we figure it was a can of dog food. it was after he had it for dinner, last night and the night before. it's in the trash now. i felt bad so stopped and bought him a new stuffed toy to snuggle with. spoiled little dog.
yea, kristen charleston got more than 6" in less than 12 hours. the city streets sit real close to water level. so this much rain can do some damage. they closed the college and some store, cause they flood. i live about 20 east of charleston.
