<-- I am a nerd and proud of it! I love Star wars, Babylon 5, Firefly, Mis Fits, and my more I can't seem to remember. My table top stuff has been D&D 3rd ed. and 4th ed. though many purists hate 4th ed but I loved it! I love my current mmo Ever crack 2 *cough* I mean Ever Quest 2. I will need to check out this *Dr. Who* business everyone talks about! My friends love it so maybe there is something to it huh? Add me if you like!

  • There are four lights

No, there are five. Are you quite sure?

Moon... Glad we could be of service!! ;-)

Nerdybre... Haven't checked into the new shows... with the crazy schedule I keep, I am at the mercy of what BBC America allows my cable company to put on OnDemand

I discovered Sherlock and IT crowd on Netflix. I have to watch all new BBC stuff on ONdemand too. As of late, I am rewatching Buffy. I can't concentrate on anything new since my life is topsy turvy right now, so Buffy it is for now.

Once you watch it, your life will never be the same. Ever time I hear a noise that sounds like the TARDIS, I get all fangirl squeaky and wanna run out and catch The Doctor.

My people, I have found you!

I have always been a sci-fi nerd thanks to my dad and older siblings. Buck Rogers, Lost in Space, Dr. Who, Star Trek, Star Wars all things I watched when I was younger. No one has mentioned Stargate or Andromeda?!?! Mutant X was also not a bad show. Of course good sci-fi is hard to come by on TV nowadays. Haven isn't too bad . I do love the BBC's Sherlock and 3 episodes per season is just not enough. I'm waiting to see if the Red Dwarf relaunch (same original actors) is going to make it on to tv over here.

I'm also a gamer nerd and Final Fantasy is my addiction. But when I saw the atari collection for playstation I had to buy that, I mean megamania, frostbite, pitfall, asteroids and tunnel runner - what's not to love.

Oh and uh....Thank you for flying Church of England, Cake or Death....

"Jason X" has Romi and Becca swap being android and human. I think that that was the only good thing about that movie.

If you've ever responded to "It's much bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside" with "Just like the Tardis," you might be a nerd/geek. :)

    The spice must FLOW!

    ^

He who controls the Spice, controls the universe !

My husband & I love "Dune" .... probably seen that movie 50 times ..... can recite a lot of the dialog (I know, get a life LOL)

Ended up reading quite a few of the books after that, because I always wondered what happened after Feyd (Sting) gets a knife stuck up his throat !

Have a great day ...... and watch out for wormsign

I support all the Fs too: Futurama, Farscape, Firefly!

The new V, I couldn't, the writing was simply undigestible.

You know Empire Strikes Back was the best Star Wars movie (and there are only 3)

I do have to shamefully admit to owning the disasters that came after, but only because the spouse wanted it! (Shakes head) How do I get myself in these situations?

I too own the others... only because I believe that IF you are going to have someone watch all of them for the first time (i.e my wife (yes, she lead a VERY sheltered childhood)), they should at least be done in the rite order and not having to forget everything you know.

This sounds like a fun group! I play Guild Wars, Love Firefly/Serenity, Star Gate, X Files!, etc. Didn't catch the old BBC shows and sadly have to admit that Dr. Who isn't my cuppa. I have tried, honestly! I just joined 2 days ago and really enjoy the set up of just putting food and exercise in. Soooo easy!

I am a bit older than 39... ok honestly am definitely past 40, no wait, make that 50! But I have teenagers and they keep me young (or they try to!)

Love the picture/avatar of Jaba! Thanks for such a fun thread! Would love to have more friends. Friend of mine lost 70, was struggling with the last 20 and his boss told him about this site. I joined day after he did. I am really excited about it! When I get tired or thinking what's the use, I pop on, read some and am motivated to go out and do something! Walked the pup today.after reading!

    Brightest Blessings,
    Christine

Ok... here's a geek out for everyone... Has anyone, becides me, ever used their computer to plan a full day of outside activity?

If not, and you want to cross "Capture the Flag", "Hide and Seek", and a "Treasure Hunt" with hiking... look into Geocaching!!

I've considered geocaching, but haven't found time to try it yet. We have five pets, two jobs, and a fixer upper house - plenty enough to keep us busy!

Probably will give it a try sometime - after I'm done with rehab-level work!
