they all watch the show, watch themselves and aren't ashamed or embarrassed. i don't really get why people are so flabbergasted by this show. there are way way worse shows where people behave atrociously. all those "dating" shows where people slut it up with strangers, jersey shore, girlfriend confidential....

at least this show is about a family no matter how cringe worthy you feel it is i cringe more when i see shows about *kitten* partying and women acting like and getting treated like a brainless pieces of meat

i had no idea that people felt so dramatic and devastated by this show. like suicide worthy. yikes. it's just another dumb show, reality shows are usually trainwrecks.

Is this another damn American beauty pageant mom show?

As a parent of two young daughters, the concept absolutely disgusts me. I don't normally have such strong opinions on things, but this is child abuse, plain and simple!

    AGREED!

I wouldn't know about other shows as I don't watch reality TV at all. I may watch one or two suspense shows like CSI back when that was good, but trash TV is not for me. And to think TLC once stood for the learning channel. More like totally ludicrous channel nowadays

    ok?

look, maybe i am playing devil's advocate here...and maybe i'm just procrastinating because i don't want to work...whatever the case i really don't hurl insults at people or insult their intelligence because they have a different opinion than me. i'd rather just chat about it and hear what people have to say, this is a forum after all and i really really don't want to go back to work right now...just saying...

well yes i agree with that, some of the child rearing behavior bothers me but i would say it revolves around the nutrition concerns and the way they eat/feed the kids. im not a parent but it makes me sad to see kids eat junk food.

i see that often in real life, as i said earlier...parents giving their kids orange soda in bottles, candy, cookies chips

i don't know what to do when i see it i just want to yell at the parent but i cant.

Love the show, watch all the new episodes. I also have a great sense of humor. Then again I guess "humor" is all in the eye of the beholder. But who the F cares... "A dolla makes me holla!!!"
  • The TV network gave them a show because this little girl generated a lot of buzz from Toddlers in Tiaras. Edith Wood, also from that show (Toddlers in Tiaras), has a TV show too. No one commented on her neurotic mother or the use of the sugar on that show. Is it because the family in Honey Boo Boo is poor and overweight, rather than skinny and rich? Seriously? You people are incredibly judgmental, and have obviously never behaved in a manner deemed unfit by others. Your clear perfection and copious amounts of knowledge are far too superior for the rest of us. I would rather watch Honey Boo Boo than a show full of pretentious, anorexic women flaunting themselves and their money everywhere.

that show is weirdly addicting. Admittedly I got sucked in on a couple of occasions. From a guys perspective I wonder who are the guys in the crowd at the pageants? I know they're dads but those poor *kitten*...

    i like this show.

theres a new show called "girlfriend confidential" that started now THAT is total garbage

what happened to that girl?? i loved her so much when she won americas next top model all those years ago...now shes just a superficial drama queen and not one thing that comes out of her mouth is authentic or intelligent

her and all her dumb friends and their dumbass lives...barf

id rather watch a fat happy family roll around in the mud
I agree. I like it because it shows them being real. I mean, this is what more than half of america is like, whether people want to admit it or not. I love the show because it shows it doesn't matter where you come from, everyone's beautiful.

I severely doubt that more than half of America is like this...if it is however you need to turn the nukes on yourselves, pronto!

But who the F cares... "A dolla makes me holla!!!"

That right there, is what gets me most about the show. That sentence right there.

She's 6-7... making a statement that before this, I've only heard people use when making adult jokes about prostitutes.
