Screw divorce, you can't send him back out into the world after you find out a secret like that... he might breed non-bacon loving children and we can't have that, they might start a cult or something... oh the horror. I would suggest holding a pillow over his face while he sleeps but you didn't hear it from me...0

he doesn't reject you, he reject the bacon, how about hotdog? pancake? omellete?0

DIVORCE HIM NOW
edited to add my husband has offered to move in with you if your giving out bacon

Did you serve it up like this?
Why is all of that undercooked? Lol
It's in the process of cooking on her hot bod. Seriously, it's from a movie. I want to say it's one of the Hot Shots Movies (Part Deux I think) with Charlie Sheen. Good for a chuckle.0 -
I know many people may get very annoyed because I am posting this,
but I just wanted to make the suggestion to look up "Trichinae" or
"trichinella spiralis"
I used to love bacon, ham and cheese sandwiches, pepperoni...
this changed my mind pretty quickly. I am not telling anyone
to stop eating it, you have your own choice to make and it
is your own business. But, I am
glad I found out about it and just passing the into on in case
anyone else wants to know. I have not eaten pork products
in over seven years. I just can't.
LA LA LA LA LA... I'm not listening *fingers in ears*0 -

Are you sure it was your husband and not some alien predator who's inhabited your husband's body but hadn't quite finished reading the manual? :huh:0
-
Lol!
If the alien thing turns out to be.wrong....have you considered an intervention?0 -
MMMMmmmmmmm Baaaaaaacon
And for the party pooper:
Despite the historical problems of trichinae and its association with the pork industry, major changes have occurred in the last 50 years. Human cases of trichinellosis reported to the Centers for Disease Control declined from about 500/year in the 1940's to fewer than 50/year over the last decade. Further, many of these cases result from non-pork sources such as bear and other game meats. A major decline has also occurred in the prevalence of this parasite in pigs. While prevalence has declined considerably in U.S. pigs, the lowest prevalence rates in domestic pigs are found in countries where meat inspection programs have been in place for many years (including countries of the European Union, notably Denmark and the Netherlands); these countries consider themselves essentially free of trichinae.

Well, because I was curious I looked it up. Won't help me with my addiction to bacon, though, I'm afraid...
What's your problem with it? It's a parasite, which basically we have loads of everywhere around us.
These can cause a bit of fever, nausea and vomiting, are gone at the latest a year after infection and don't have other consequences - it may only get iffy for the old and infirm.
Moreover that is one microorganism all meat meant for human consumption is tested for, no exceptions allowed. Since I try not to use meat NOT meant for human consumption, I don't really see what the fuss is supposed to be about.
Oh, and the results of the tests:
Between the years of 2000 and 2009 approximately 453 million pigs in Germany were tested for it and they found the parasite in four, in numbers: 4.
("Bei den zwischen 2000 und 2009 in Deutschland durchgeführten Trichinenuntersuchungen an etwa 453 Millionen Hausschweinen wurden lediglich bei 4 Exemplaren Trichinen gefunden")
???
@ OP: Tell him not liking Bacon is a federal offence and besides, very unmanly! ; )0 -
He is a smart man! Due to scarcity economists expect the price of bacon to increase as high as 10%! OUCH. My husband has never turned bacon down, looks like i may need to get a second job! LOL0

And when it's cooked properly, this is not an issue.
If you think about EVERYTHING you can get from eating ANYTHING - you would die of starvation really fast. Beef, chicken, any shellfish or fish, some veggies & fruit, grains, beans and even eggs.
That kinda leaves dirt, rocks and not much eat. Just food (lol) for thought.
So I'll eat my well cooked bacon - nom, nom!0 -
Okay, so divorce, rage, or death...good choices. I'm glad I wasn't overeacting, thanks for the advice guys and gals!0
