10 x 5mg Valium every night and i still struggle with sleep
Same here. Do you work out late or take energy drinks? It could be those.
No i train during the day mostly but maybe one night a week i train late and it is probably my worst night sleep thats Monday night. Ive been taken diazepam for over two years i buy my own my doc wont give me them its the only thing get me over to sleep within 2hrs but when im not working i dont need as high a dose. I think to much lol wbu?? ohh and no energy drinks i stopped them about 6months ago.
I take klonopin. Clearly it's not working. I'm up talking nonsense at 5 am. Jeez.. LOL. But you do take a high dose it should have knocked you out. It's weird you're awake after that. I love when people tell me to count sheep to sleep. or read a book. or get busy during the day so i can be tired at night.0 -
Do you jump out of airplanes?
I did for 5 years.

:Gulp:
You're brave.
Not that brave. I think anyone is capable of doing anything, and when you are roped in the army, you really can't tell uncle sam no even if you wanted too.0 -

I have all the respect in the world for what you do/did, my brother is also an Infantry vet
I respect and get along with all vets after leaving the service, the stark difference between a vet and a civilian is easily identifiable.
Agreed, I can always pick one out of a crowd0 -

Is it fun?
i wanna jump out of an airplaine!!
i
The first jump is beyond euphoric. It is unexplainable. Like you have to wake yourself up and get ready to land ( feet and knees have to be together or you will break your legs). After the first few jumps it loses it's effect.
Also, for the 45 seconds of rush, you spend about 7 hoursish in pain, especially if it is a combat equipment jump, where you have 80-100 lbs of gear on you.
It has its pros and cons. I miss it a little bit though.
lol, i would have to get my legs tied together then! && i dont wanna carry any "gear" except maybe a cameraa?? lol so would that be painful afterwards?0 -

Perhaps, but after all the stories I have been reading of people going "splat" I still think it's brave.
My real issue with any military endeavor would have been (I am told by my hubby an AF vet...) my supreme issue with authority0 -

Let me clarify, civilian sky diving and military jumping are different.
Sky diving is done at a much higher altitude.
The chutes for the military are designed to fall fast, the theory is you want to be in the air as little as possible, because getting shot free falling there isn't much you can do about it.
Civilian chutes fall much slower, and much more control. You don't have to do the feet and knees together thing for them.
Also you free fall much longer skydiving.0 -
Because MyFitnessPal people ARE cooler than the facebook people. unless you have both then the facebook uncoolness cancels out!

Well at least you didn't ask if I was a pilot, I'll give you kudos for that lol. Unfortunately no I don't jump out of Airplanes while they are in the air, but a goal of mine is to get sent to jump school where I will then be allowed to do so
[/quote]
oh,i forgot someone had to actually fly the plaine there for a second! lol
then what exactly do you? .... do jump out of them when there on the ground? lol jkjk lol my smart mouth gets the best of me sometimes. lol

Lol I'm what the Air Force calls "Security Forces" which is kindof a fancy way of saying Military Policeman, we provide Law Enforcement and Airbase security. Then when we deploy it's that and then some, we have alot of specialized missions as well0 -

Don't worry basic takes care of that pretty quick.
You learn you are a worthless terd, and you live to execute commands.

That's what he said, but I think I'd just disgrace the family name ( a term my loving Dad used to use in his lectures towards me ) and get kicked out Oh well thank goodness we'll never have to know and my only true issue with authority would be speeding tickets and police officers...here's to hope that my new weight loss takes care of some of that like it used to :wink wink:0 -

I have an addiction to energy drinks.
They will probably be the death of me.
So you hate fabric stores and love energy drinks. I love roller coasters and hate cars with no power windows.
I also love roller coasters and hate cars with no power windows, which is probably why I've never owned one. Six Flags Magic Mountain used to be my secondary place of residence, bout to go back, I've missed it so
I have an annual pass to go to six flags. I used to go so often. My friends lived very close so I used to go visit them. They do gliding in san bernardino too. Boy I miss cali already. I remember having a car with no power windows and every time I pulled up to the gate on base they'd ask for my ID so I roll it down and that car was gone quickly. Stupid car.
Hahaha yeah sometimes I'm that person at the gate asking for your ID...I always felt sorry for the people with manual crank windows, also I don't blame you for missing Cali. I did everytime I lived somewhere else0 -
Dont think i would have the nerve to jump out off an airplane tbh sounds like fun but NO CHANCE lol Fair play0
-
@zachatta You must being an Airborne. You got to see some cool places.
Jumping out of airplanes if fun.
It was an experience. I am however done with the military.
When you join the military you are a government slave, period.
That is the big con. When I am a civilian I know that whatever I do, I still go home at night.
An example is, when i was in we had the whole garbage "Hurricane Louisiana" thing, my battalion got called out within 24 hours notice, and i went down to LA, to patrol streets for a month (yes nothing happened although apparently there was a lot of anarchy before we went)
I enjoy my freedom, so I would not do that again. Good experience though.0 -

I was never shot at when jumping, to clarify as well, i was just explaining the theory as to why they fell fast.
All my jumps were on base, nice and safe (at least from "enemies").0 -

See she agrees you're brave
Also, I don't think you really wanna join the marines - when my friends got out of training those guys looked like they didn't bend or go #2 for like a year. I've seen corpses less rigid lol . Cool honorable guys but man oh man what a change.0 -

You would be surprised at the amount of "nerds" that join the military, myself being one of them.

I always felt sorry for the guys that stood at the gate seriously. They just stood there when it was super hot in the desert or when it rained and super cold. I just felt awful for them to stand there for such long shifts. But I liked Military because you get to make many friends.0 -
