I am doing better today. I did have an emotional eating session last night. I ate probably 10 thin mint cookies. I knew what emotion I was feeling, and I ate myself right through it. HOWEVER, this was a minor emotional eating binge for me, and I'm proud to have recognized the emotion, identified the cause, and ONLY have eaten one food item. (I tend to eat multiple junk foods when I emotionally binge.) I faced the emotion and situation head on, and am trying to deal with it. It's not something that can be quickly resolved, but I am facing it and going to work through it. In the meantime, having identified it means I can start to curb this emotional eating. THIS IS GOOD. I am back on track.
I love you guys. The Sixers have been the entire reason I've stayed with MFP and been able to keep losing weight, no lie. :smooched:0 -

72 oz water (have almost 16 in now, so I need to start chugging! :drinker: )
No more than 500 over my cals
If I get any exercise in today that would be great, but I'm not expecting to. I'm working from home today (gotta love laptops!) with a sick child. Samantha couldn't keep anything down last night. She's doing much better this morning and has kept down the few plain cheerios and pedialyte. I'm functioning on about 4 hours of sleep but feeling good right now (gotta love the 5-hr Energy drink!)

I'm 2 lb down for the challenge. Huge shocker for me, especially since I went away last week and didn't track. But I did use the gym and run on the treadmill at the hotel. Hopefully it helped with the massive amount of alcohol. Although I usually only drink about every other weekend, they tend to put me over the edge because I like fruity, girlie drinks. Need to find a less caloric drink (not beer).
Dragging today, but went to the gym.
BTW, I'm with Lauryn. If it wasn't for you guys and this challenge, I probably would have given up and not even bothered logging. I'm finally seeing success and the largest part is due to your support and encouragement. So thank you SIXERS. You rock!!!0 -

Well, I am down but up from the beginning of this challenge. If I can just get back to 197 where I started out then I would be happy.

I am going to Vegas in 10 weeks from tomorrow. I would REALLY REALLY love to be 20 pounds down from where I am now. I think it is doable but needs some serious dedication on my part. We have not been eating any meals out since New Years in our house and I have to say that has made a HUGE difference in how I feel.

misty eyes......everyone is so great. i have wanted to quit many times. but, you guys are under my skin, and always on my mind. when i am not doing well i think of you all.
hard to believe the sixer group has been going on for over a year. come july/aug will be 2. isn't kristin?
everyone is doing a super job.
had a class, so really tired. feel asleep on couch for about 10 mins. gave me a boost. need to get dinner ready and some work done.
be back tomorrow after gym. if i don't go first thing i won't go. i need to do a run/walk and burn some of this sodium off from the crap i ate yesterday.

Avatar was great. Well my Honey has decided to make this a true date. He is taking me out to dinner tonight too. We came home to check on my Whiskey Girl ( Dog) and feed the cows before dark. So I am changing the food diary....(will have to post my meal later) I am going to try to stay with in my calories. I need still to drink one more liter of water today. Tony says I haven't cut corners in 10 days straight and with all that has been going on with my dog I need some time to enjoy life. I know since he asked me to marry him I have been wrapped up with my dog being sick. So tonight we DINE!!!!:drinker: :drinker: :drinker:

Oh I am so glad to see everyone posting! Lauryn I missed you much and this group does keep me going as well. I love the personal relationship I have with you ladies. I wouldn't trade it in for anything. LOVE YA. Verda, I'm glad we keep you motivated bc you keep me knowing I can reach my goals. Great job. Cathy- I'm glad you are doing so wonderfully.

Well ladies........... I put in my 90 day notice at my job today. I know that's a really long time. I am 95% sure i'm taking the job in Danville, about 4 hrs from where I am now. But I will be closer to Lauryn and maybe even Cathy. We should meet UP..... maybe for a race. If I would run. I've been lazy about jogging. I know it works for my body, just won't do it. I'm stubborn.
I'm making big decisions fast and just trying to keep sane and know God will guide me to the right place.

Good morning lovely ladies,
I woke up ravenous this morning. Had a cup of blackberries. Nope, didn't cut it. Couldn't find any protein other than PB and that's a road that once I start I have a hard stop turning back from, so scrounged through the frig and found a cucumber only slightly soggy and half tub of chili pepper hummus. AAAAHHHHH. Mouth is burning and tummy is satisfied (for the next hour).
Gym today for the BOSU/weights and hopefully get back to running. This week, everytime I get on the treadmill, I can't get going on the running and end up walking the rest. But I figure something is better than nothing. At least I got on the treadmill.
Did the second dance video with my little girl (she's 5 foot and 9 years old). It's so much fun doing it with her. The next thing I know, my husband and 7 year old boy are doing it too. We must have looked hilarious.
I hope you all have a great day. Busy, busy day. Work, gym, work, school volunteer, work, piano lesson, dance video, and then chilling with my girl.

well, had an interesting evening and so far an interesting morning and it's just 7:00.
DH comes home last night and says the mortgage company called him on his cell and wanted to make a deal. the house is suppose to go to the court house steps for auction on the first week of feb. and they didn't have his cell number. so DH have been having discussions about this. i tried calling the guy back, he was gone. i have a list of questions for him first. so if the numbers fall where we are comfortable and we get this all in writing, we may be moving AGAIN. up in the air about the whole deal. we will see. if not i won't be disappointed, cause i really love this place. but, it would be nice to own again too. taxes!!! just have to wait.
this morning.....DH got up before his alarm. i don't, i stay in bed until he comes in to dress. so he comes in i have a spliting headache. and he tells me our 42" tv won't turn on or off. it will on it's own, WHAT???? i was just going to pay this thing off. as long as i still pay on it, it's covered. so now i have to call them at 10. they better fix it and if not they will replace it. was going to the gym, forgot the dog has a groomers appt. they call when he's done and you have to be there asap to pick up. they don't hold him. cause they leave at 11 or so. last time he was there i was going potty when she called and just as listened to the mssg and was putting on my shoes, she calls again. i take him there cause i get a discount, MIL works there as a bather. so was going to do workout DVD, now the tv is broken. i do have a small one in the spare room, i can do a walking one. i think i might do that when i get back from dropping george off. i will turn this day around. time for a little pray.

I used to be a morning person (but not 4am - I might call that a night owl), but I'm having such a hard time getting motivated to get up and going. What is the secret? How are you inspiring yourself to get up at 4am to work out? If you can do 4am, I'd like to think I could be up and moving around by 7am.0 -
I have had such a delicious breakfast the past two mornings. My fiance is on a business trip, which means I get to eat weird food because I'm just cooking for me, and I don't feel guilty about making things only I will eat. So, I have been cutting up about 4 white mushrooms and sauteeing them with olive oil and a very little bit of Badia "Complete Seasoning" (which has MSG in it, so I go very very light on it). When they're browned, I set them aside and then make an omelet with either All Whites or one egg and 1/4 cup All Whites and stick the mushrooms in the middle. This morning, I added some cheese on top. It is so good, and tastes like something you'd get at a very fancy breakfast place. Must be the MSG. :laugh:
I love cooking. I seriously should have gone to pastry school instead of law school. I have a budget plan to pay off my school loans within the next 10 years, and then I figure I can go to pastry school if I still want to. It's an inspiration to send as much money as possible to my school loans.
Also, I weighed myself this morning, and I was at 227.2 (a 1.8 lb loss since Tuesday)! Maybe I will get the rest of my holiday weight off this week. It made me feel really good because last night I wanted to make half a batch of cookie dough and eat it without baking it, but instead I had two graham crackers with some reduced fat peanut butter. If I keep this up, and I lose another 2.2 lbs by Tuesday, I'll be down 20 lbs and I'll get my scarf that has been sitting all sad and lonely on my shelf waiting for me to get my butt in gear.

Ali- We have very similar lives. I don't want to practice as a dentist forever. I love it but I have so many other goals for myself. I am focusing on paying loans as well, hence the four hour move to the middle of nowhere so I can get 50K for two years of service. I gotta do what I can to reduce my loans. LOL.

Well I did the elliptical for 35 mins, did 25 min walk and did a 30 min bootcamp class. WHEW.... spread out throughout the day for a metabolism boost... I HOPE.
