Blombie: He had a key, cause I always keep the laundry room locked.. he came in through my laundry room, and there are 3 different ways to get into my house. I should call the police.. But I will wait til I get home, cause I know BD won't call them.. and I keep calling my landlord to see if he can figure out who the guy is & how he got the key? LL is telling me he is busy, and will call when he knows.. Uhh, ok; dufus!! I want to know NOW! but my resolution (there is one for every problem) is to change the locks myself & I'm not giving him the key.. It happened before, but he backed the guy up.. So I will teach everyone a lesson & I am purchasing my own locks & NOT giving LL the key!! haha (although I am truely terrified.. I'm so scared for my babies.. I can't help but to think of worst case scenario)

ARG!!!!! I just lost a post again!!!!

out there in cyber land there is a post roaming!!!!

    WIll try to rememeber....
Nikki, I would get everything documented. We rent a house and it is written in our contract how much advance notice we have to give our tenant before we go over for a check. You have rights, the only reason (In Indiana) that a LL would have a right to go in with out your permission is if it was an emergency, like smoke coming out of the windows, or a water leak something like that...it helps to have everything in writing, good luck.

Pinbot, I am so proud of you with your running...I rememeber you thinking that you wouldn't be able to do this and now look at you!!!! I knew you could do it!!! I'm thinking I read that you "enjoyed running outdoors last week" fantastic!!

AKA, I do the same as you on thursdays before weighin....I did a tough, tough workout today, extra cardio ...I need to eat some calories too, I'm making myself an extra protein shake, with strawberries here in a minute!

Cds, I am trying out the muffins here in a few minutes also....I have been thinking about them since you posted!

Blombie, great news on your weight loss, I hope it sticks for you, I don't know what the scale will do for me, as I started my cycle yesterday, today I weighed the same as last Friday....so that's good I usually go up 5 pounds:laugh:
I need to get some dinner things started, I'll check in later...

    Have a great night ladies

well let me tell you a story of the summer I lived with my sister. She was moving into a new condo and we had spent ALLLLLLLLL day moving everything to the new place. Well, come to find out she had a crazy, alcoholic, control freak lady living next door who banged on the door and demanded that we go outside and move my car because it was in her way (which it wasn't). She kept banging on the door and yelling at us, so we went upstairs and called the cops. We wanted to leave but the lady was scaring us- we didn't want to go outside with her out there. She stayed in the front yard yelling at us and then it got real quiet and all of a sudden she was yelling at us from INSIDE OUR HOUSE. (The front of the house was to my right and she was definitely inside, on the stairs, on my left side yelling at us to come move this ****ing car.) OMG I completely lost it at that point. Lauryn (my sister) was already an emotional wreck that day because her husband had just went off to boot camp and I was calm as day up until that point. It was like a dang horror movie and we both screamed "OH MY GOD SHE'S IN THE HOUSE" ...seriously, just like a horror movie.....and I'm sure the dispatcher on the phone was scared crapless too cause she was about to listen to two girls get murdered by a crazy lady......(crying hysterically at that point, we were like "omg please make the cops hurry up...she was in the house...omg please hurry....please....hurry....) anyways, we heard her slam the front door and she continued to yell at us from the front yard until the cops showed up. (3 sheriffs showed up plus a friend and her big, football playing, EMT boyfriend) The place had been rekeyed that morning before we got there. Lauryn had a copy of the old key and had been to the condo the day before. When we had gotten there that morning, there was a note from the handyman that the locks had been changed and Lauryn had to go see the landlord. Somehow the crazy lady had a copy of the key!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To this day, we never figured out HOW she had a copy of it. (screwing the handyman maybe?) However, since she had a key, they only charged her with Unlawful Entry, which is a misdemeanor. (Had they charged Breaking and Entering, it would have been a felony.) Thankfully Lauryn got in touch with the landlord that night and was able to break the lease contract and then she and I were homeless for the summer....stayed with her friends mostly.

Not trying to scare you even worse, but there are crazy people in the world and you have kids to protect. Make sure your landlord knows you've called the cops and demand to know how that man had a key. The place SHOULD have been rekeyed when you moved in anyway so the property management should be responsible to make sure all keys are turned in from previous tennets. Theres no telling what could have happened if it had been YOU at home and not your BD.

Call the cops as soon as you get home!! And be especially aware of anyone around your place that doesn't belong.

Wow, Girly! Thats horrifying!! I'm glad nothing happened to you or your sister!! You know, the last time someone entered my apt without my consent; I was sleeping and I heard something (my kids were taking their naps) so I jumped up and lo & behold there was a strange man in my house! I was like "what the **** are you doing? Who the hell are you???" He left right away after saying the LL sent him.. I called the LL and reemed him out, This is the SECOND time & hes like "well, what doy ou want me to do??" He just made me feel this(*) small! Telling me I shouldn't be concerned about my safety, and how safe I am.. He doesnj;t know that no matter where I go, I have to constantly be looking over my shoulder; and this is the honest to God truth- I believe that someone put a contract on my head (out to kill me) I got the guy locked up for forcing a minor (me) into prostitution, So I believe he wants me knocked off, he threatened the other girtls life too, and she dropped thwe charges, But he torchered me, and I wanted the same for him.. So this leads me to have to be extra cautious & constantly looking around.. even at my job.. no where is safe...

Yeah....all you need is the landlord to NOTIFY you when they are going to send a handyman in to work on something. Otherwise anyone can walk in and say "oh its ok, I'm the handyman" .....yeah....I don't think that's asking too much.
