I would have to say that endothermic heat does not indicate caloric burn, while exothermic does indicate caloric use it is not always an accurate manner to determine the rate of caloric burn. If you don't have a VO2 machine in your house you know you are doomed to never lose weight, and you won't loose weight either. Too often two people argue over metabolism because one is following IF and the other is eating 12 times a day. I do not know if you can IF 12 times in a day, but we will leave that to those that understand that calories in vs calories out don't matter it is nutritional content of the food not the calories that make you a fat *kitten*. This, of course, does not take into account nutritional density so those that factor nutritional density can live on 950 calories a day and gain muscle......
