I ran one race (marathon) where headphones were not allowed. One of the most boring things I've ever done.

I can totally understand not allowing headphones for a 5k or a 10k. But for a marathon? How did you not fall asleep???

The first time it wasn't so bad because the course is fantastic, great scenery. The 2nd time, I had seen everything so it was borning as hell.

Seriously, if the slower runners/walkers started farther back in the corral and kept to the right like they are supposed to, faster runners could pass on the left (like they are supposed to), and this whole "causing collisions" thing wouldn't would not be an issue.

    Bingo.

The #1 race etiquette is starting in the correct location.

When passing call out loudly "Make a HOLE, make it WIDE!" We will know you are part of the brethren. Add a little dance as you pass. We love you.

Remember the rules - the rules work for runners too. Especially Rule #5.

Bwhahaha. While I agree with a lot of them, I break far more. I think #42 eliminates me. EVERY bike race I do starts with a swim and ends with a run.
I loved #24 only most people here would get kilometers/kilometers per your.
