Sorry I have not been on the last week. My husband got sever virtigo and pretty much was like a baby and needed 24/ 7 care for a couple of days. No exercise this week, not enough water, not enough sleep. well, not making my mini goal of under 200 by Feb 1 but I am okay with that. will update my goals to be 189 lbs by March 1.

I am not doing so hot lately. I have been just staying steady around 160 for a LONG time, and it's getting pretty annoying. I have hit plateaus before, but this one is just hitting my motivation hard, and it's tough for me to keep going with my exercise and eating plan. I'm back at school, and I'm busy, so I'm really worried that I'm going to be so busy that I'm going to put this off until the summer and I'll just gain back everything I worked so hard to get off. I'll keep going for as long as I can, and I hope this little slump won't stay around forever.0 -

My youngest daughters allergies are horrible and she woke up this morning with her face all swollen and broke out. We've been dealing with this for several weeks now and Ive had her into the dr a couple different times. Anyway, she asked if she could stay home today because she was too embarassed. and the kids tease her... poor kid! (it just makes me so mad!) It turns out today was reward day at school for kids who have no missing assignments and no grades below a C and she would have gotten to do that So instead, today we are heading to Ulta to get her set up with some goodies for her face, then taking her to lunch.

Good almost weekend all you lovely ladies. I am sorry that your poor daughter is having such a bad time with allergys Losingit4good. Nitag great job on the 3 pound loss, Ewill12 welcome to the group and Kstefenski hang in there because I think you and I have hit the same wall :grumble: But dont undo all the hard work you have put into it already. I keep getting stuck but what the heck better stuck than gaining.

I say that I have not decided on a goal yet because I keep changing my mind I first thought that I would shoot for 174 then figured on 164 then changed it to 155. and now that I am stuck I think that maybe I just need to matain this weight. Who knows I guess when I get there I will know.0 -

sorry I missed the weigh in yesterday. Life's been a bit busy here. I'm doing well with the two yoga classes and I can really see how much stronger I am getting in my upper body. In other news I have decided to take a year off of teaching to make a stab at something else. I have been working on a novel for three years and it very close to being ready to submit. Its already finished but there is polishing to do. After that I'm looking at getting an agent. So I'm only writing next year. I think that I can defiantly finish the second book in the trilogy and get a good start in on the third. So that is what I have been up too. Any how here are the stats:

Cindy I need your number to call you. I need a HUGE swift kick in the you know what!!! I have bad back pain since Jan 4th. Over Dec 31-Jan3 I was on my laptop for hours and hours playing while my son was sleeping beside me recovering from surgery. Well on Jan 4th I woke up with my shoulders hurting me and the bottom of my neck/top of my back hurting from my head lookng down at the laptop. It has hurt me since. Daily I am in so much pain. I think with the fibromyalgia it is taking longer to heal. Finally a week ago I started going to the chiropractor to try to help. It helps a little for a day then back to the same crap. Soooo needles to say I am feeling sorry for myself and not doing anything but sitting on my fat butt with a heating pad and boredom eating. I've gained weight, I can feel it , I've not been weighing cause I don't wanna cry. I haven't been on here in almost 2 weeks. I've read all the posts and the new gals seem great. I liked the upbeat Alicia and hope to see her more.
Nita I totally understand your loneliness. When I first left my husband I was a mess because I was still in love with him and didn't want the divorce, I just wanted him to know I meant business that things had to change. I couldn't eat or sleep, everything I ate made my stomach hurt. I had 4 kids at home and should have never been that lonely but I was lonely as hell. It does take time to get used to it but you have goals to look forward to. At least you KNOW you get to see him and be back with him, so switch your thinking from "I am lonely and I am mising him" to " WOW i get to go see him for Valentines Day and we will have wild animal nookie and get to go places and see new things" You've already started thinking that way with getting your nails done and hair done. Do a count down to your trip to see hm so that each day you will get more and more excited at how close it is getting instead of how sad you are that he is gone. Your hubby is probably as miserable as you are that that is why he is moody, so if you can be upbeat and planning ahead about seeing him, instead of being sad and telling him how much you miss him while on the phone it might help out his mood. I bet he is missing you and worried about how you are doing and if you can show him you are ok and looking forward to seeing him with being upbeat it will releive some pressure off him.
Manda good luck with your writing. What kind of books are you writting? You will have to let us know the titles so we can buy them when they are published and help you make money LOL
Kelly, (pawprint) Yes you have been quiet, are you doing ok? Anything you want to talk about. I'd love to chat with you on facebook if you need to talk. You know I am on there alot. I had to live with my in laws for 8 months with 2 kids and it was hard as hell so I know some of what you are going through and I'd love to talk with you and try to help. HUGS
Adopt, Your life is so darn busy!! An exchange student too are you crazy??? Where is the student from? You might not get to the gym but I bet you get lots of excercise running after those boys all day. Don' beat yourself up. Take the kids for a walk...you'll wear them out and get some excercise too.
I feel like MFP has brought me a lot of new friends and I love you all. I wish we all lived close enough to have a girls day out once a month!! Hopefully I can get my butt in gear too. I truely want to lose the weight but I don't keep it forfront in my brain so I get to the end of the day and say OH MAN I forgot to check in and to log my food and I have blown it...maybe tomorrow but tomorrow has never come. I'll keep trying.0 -
I am writing a fantasy trilogy right now and I call it Raven's flight but that might change if I get it published. I will definitely keep you posted on the progress. Book one is written and in the polishing stage, book two is half written and book three is in idea/outline stage. So I have a lot to get accomplish hence that year off to really give it the chance to fly. Thanks for the encouragement. I wishe everyone had the opportunity to really go for something crazy just because they love it.0

Okay so Cyndi we already hung out last night so you know that I weighed in Friday and had not lost a pound nothing! So still at 9 lbs lost in 3 weeks. I am only one pound away from my goal which was 10 lbs in 3 weeks. Only one day to go ha ha today! Doubt anything is coming off due to Aunt Flow in the house soon started PMS like 4 days ago which I am assuming why I have not dropped. I tend to have like 8-9 day flow so between that and PMS like a week and a half I am not dropping weight. I feel lighter today for some reason though?
Anyway, so I will be staying on track and logging in to do my food just won't be weighing in until she is gone.
Cyndi great job saw that you lost more weight! Congrats!
So my Valentine's Goal is 5 lbs in the next 2 weeks.

Well, was really off my game last week because of sick hubby. I really had to take care of him. Gained two pounds, did no exercise except 2 miles on friday. I have no idea on calories or water.
Today is a new day. Bought the ea active and love it.
exercise - Did 2 miles on the walk away the pounds.
did 27 minutes of the medium intensity on ea active. Love that they give you calories burned.
Water - Already drinking 3 glasses so far.

I weighed this morning for the heck of it and I've lost another 3 lbs.. I guess my husband being gone is a good thing.. Bad thing is I am having a really hard time eating.. Experincing a lot of anxiety ect.. Can't sleep.. Its been horrible.. Cyndi I guess I should take you up on your offer .. Send me your number....

HEY ALL BEEN A MEMBER FOR A WHILE WAS PART OF THE BIGGEST LOSER CHALLENGE IN MARCH OF 2009 WHICH AT THAT TIME I LOST 35 POUNDS AND GOT SO TIED UP THAT I BECAME SLACK AND SWAMPED AT THE SAME TIME. MY WIFE GOT PREGNANT AND SO STARTED THE BABYS ROOM SECOND I GOT A NEW JOB AND AND STARTED BUILDING A SHED ALL AT ONCE NEEDLESS TO SAY I WAS SO BUSY I COULD BARELY CATCH A BREATH WELL NOW THE BABY ARRIVED AS OF OCT1ST AND I AM BACK AND READY I HAVE NOT ONLY GAINED BACK MY INITIAL WEIGHT BUT HAVE GAINED A LITTLE EXTRA I AM NOW AT 320 AND DEPRESSED BUT ALSO READY TO DO SOMTHING ABOUT IT. TRYING TO GO TO THE GYM IS A CHALLENGE BECAUSE WHEN IM OFF I HAVE THE KID AND I ONLY WORK 10 DAYS A MONTH. IF YALL WOULD HAVE ME I WOULD LIKE TO JOIN WITH YALL AND REACH OUR GOALS TOGETHER. PS SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS IM NOT YELLING ITS JUST THAT I HATE TO TYPE AND THE SHIFT KEY IS A PAIN LOL.0

I bought one of those Shake Weights they advertise on TV this weekend hoping to strengthen my upper back and arms so hopefully this dang pain will go away in my shoulders. I've used it twice and I like it. It's only a 6 minute workout but that is good enough for me right now. My arm really can feel it burn while you are shaking it. Maybe a I get stronger I can do the workout twice!! LOL. I logged my food on Saturday but not Sunday. Gonna go do that now for today.
Looks like everyone is dong a great job. NIta you better not waste away on us. You need to lose weight the right way and not by starving yourself. I know you're not doing it on purpose but maybe you need to get a good protein drink or meal replacement drink to help you through this time.

I believe that i am up from last week weigh in. Not enough exercise last week, not enough water, no idea on my calories. hubby was sick and i was taking care of him 24/7 for days. I do literally mean 24/7. he had to be given a pill every hour on the hour - alternating ones. very confusing. he had very severe virtigio and it is still not gone but does not require constant watching.
Bought the EA Active game for Wii. Absolutely love it. i am so sore from the work outs but i can definitely feel a difference. I enjoy that it is constant moving from one exercise to another. I also love that it gives you calories burned. lots of different exercised daily. AI have only done medium and low intensity so far.

Hey guys. I weighed in and I'm down to 140. My vday goal was like 5-8 pounds I think... well I've reached the 5 pound mark. Maybe I can meet the 8 pound goal... I haven't really been trying to lose, just to maintain. I'm doing pretty good. I got my car fixed... I can now drive it more than 5 miles with out the fear of it dying... and I can listen to the radio and have my headlights on lol. Jason spent the whole yesterday tearing my car apart trying to fix it... but he got it. That's about it. I've been super busy lately. I haven't had time to really do much of anything.... but I'll try to get on later and read some of the posts so I know what is going on...0

Hi everyone, I would like to join this group too! I am 38 years old, and was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes about 2 weeks ago. Since then I have done a complete overhaul on my diet and activity levels. Done a lot of research on the glycemic index, and it seems to be working, I have lost 19 pounds since Jan.9. I haven't been on in awhile, it's been crazy busy here. My daughter turned 16 last weekend and I am having a harder time with that than I thought I would be..... I lost5.2lbs for the month of January even after having birthday cake!!!

Where is everyone this week? I've been good this week. I might just lose some weight from the last time i weighed which was 2 weeks ago. I gained a few lbs and then i lost them back so hopefully I will be happy tomorrow. I bought a Shake weight last weekend and have been using it and it is making my back a little better. Not much else going on this week. Hope everyone is doing well. Those of you who are just reading and not posting.....say something so we know you are alive!!0

Well, I am not happy because i gained. I am now at 204 lbs today. still down from the dec 1 weigh in of 215 lbs. was not able to exercise for a week due to taking care of hubby and then overdueing it on th ea active. I was able to exercise again today. I did the ea active on low intensity. still can feel it. then did 1 mile of the 5 mile burning the pounds dvd with the 2 minute boost and then 1/2 mile of walk away the pounds for abs. I think this really stretched the muscle afterwards because I can feel them but no pain. very happy about that.
Hopefully we will get the blizzard and all i have to do is stay home and work out. Yeah!!.0 -
Happy almost weekend everyone. Its Gray and rainy here in northern Cal. Its been a slow process the past couple weeks its like I am stuck in neutral. I am losing only about a half pound a week (((BLAH)))

Hello everyone! Hope everyone had a great week. I started the 30 day shred on Saturday and have been doing it everyday along with 30 minutes on my airdyne or 35 minutes on the elliptical trainer. The 30 day shred is kicking my butt! I still haven't been able to do it non stop, but I'm trying. I had an off day on Wednesday, my grandmother went to the hospital and I was feeling down... Didn't workout. But I tried to make up for it by working out longer on the elliptical yesterday. I wish my weight loss was a little more this week, but there will always be good weeks and bad weeks, I'll just keep on trucking though!! So for the weigh-in today...
SW: 248 GW:175 CW: 246 = 2 pound loss

Blech. I am STUCK. Actually, I can't say that. I'm moving, just in the wrong direction. I keep gaining weight, and I'm almost back in the 160s, which would make me super depressed. I don't know what I'm doing wrong! I eat all of my calories, including my exercise calories, and I'm exercising 6 or 7 days a week doing cardio, no strength training so I know it's not muscle being built up. I'm not eating anything bad, I only eat whole wheat breads and crackers, and I'm always under carbs anyway. I don't eat a lot of sugar, the most is a cup of hot chocolate every now and then, and even that is no sugar added. I eat breakfast, too, and no fast food at all. I feel like I'm doing everything right but I'm not losing.:grumble:
