Meal timing is irrelevant. It's about calories in vs calories out. IF or intermittent fasting is just one pattern of eating which helps some stick to calorie adherence. It's personal preference whether someone eats 3-4 400 calorie meals, 2 800 calorie meals or 1 1600 calorie meal.
I personally do a form of this because I prefer bigger meals.0
