Runny eggs, cantaloupe, venison (the smell alone makes me ill), greek yogurt (I've tried really really hard to like it :frown: ) and the gristle/fat on meats.... Like someone else said, one bite of that and I'm done.

I wish I hated cheese, pasta and breads like some of you! I probably wouldn't be trying to lose weight haha

Mushrooms (cooked or raw, doesn't matter).
Beets (pickled or un-picked, doesn't matter)
    Oysters
    Organs

    That's about it, lol.

YESSS!!!! I have selective eating disorder and also rule out foods based on texture. the insides of a tomato are GROSS! slimy foods are a big no-no! and yeah, if i bite into a fatty piece of meat, i immediately remove it from my mouth and throw it on my husband's plate because he LOVES it. EW!

Oh goodness! That last bit made me gag a little bit, I don't understand liking the fatty parts at all.

And this is going to sound silly, but I'm trying to eat a banana right now, and I think that might have to go on my disgusting list because of the texture. If it wasn't so mushy I'd like it!
  • Definitely seafood - ick.

And MUSHROOMS! Know what they are? Fungus! Know where else fungus can grow? Feet! I hate feet too!
(i know, i'm weird - leave me alone, LOL)

Cottage cheese, organ meats, tofu, overripe bananas and cheesecake.

Carrots. Just carrots. I dislike other foods strongly, but only carrots disgust me.

  • Real food.

I hate tuna too. I only like vegetables, fruits and whole grains.
Everything organic and real. Pure sugar just grosses me out!

    I didn't know meat wasn't a "real" food.

Must be nice on your pedestal.

I think the title of your post should have been, "I think I'm so much better than everyone because of my messed up perceptions of food!"

Bread and pasta are both high on my list of foods I don't like. Once upon a time I used to enjoy eating them every day, but after trying out a paleo diet a couple years back, these foods taste nasty now - like slimy cardboard. Even with pizza I can only stand to eat the cheese and toppings. Makes for some odd looks when eating out.

What kind of bread do you eat that is slimy?? Bread should be tossed in the trash bin if it's slimy. :noway:

Yogurt with fruit in it. There's somethign so incredibly wrong about finding chunks that need to be chewed inside a smooth, creamy treat. Can't do it. It makes me gag.
  • Olives. Gross!

Mashed Potatoes. Scrambled Eggs. I think this all goes back to my dislike of milk. I hate how runny it makes the eggs and I hate the texture of mashed potatoes.
  • Watermelon...........even the smell :-P

Milk. Oddly enough, I love other dairy products. But even as a kid, I hated having milk with my cereal. I always prefered it dry. My family had a ritual where the kids drank milk for dinner every day to build strong bones. It worked, I've never broken a bone in my life, but my parents had to add a tablespoon of cocoa or vanilla flavoring so I wouldn't gag. I keep retrying it every few years....never pans out.

Fish Sticks, Hot pockets, Pot Pies, Spaghetti O's, Vienna Sausages, really anything that has that whole "Heat N' Serve" premise.

Nutella, cheese, pasta, meat ( i'm a vegetarian ), milk chocolate, cow's milk, soup, tacos, sauces, pizza, fries, chips, pie, ice cream, rice, soda, marshmallow's..

I could go on and on but really what are some foods you find disgusting that other people like?

Are u serious? or being sarcastic.....?.... u'd have no problem dieting then.... wow!

Disgusting taste (IMO): Olives! Yuck. An accidental olive in my mouth and I gag.
Disgusting to think about: Mushrooms. Why, oh why, would someone want to EAT fungus?

I've disliked beans forever because of their texture, but I'm trying really, really hard to embrace them. My kids eat beans and I'm happy about that.

Applesauce and yogurt immediately come to mind. Something about the texture... blegh.

Raw onions. Cooked is okay. But the sliced up raw ones you find on burgers and salads are awful.

Hard-boiled eggs. I love scrambled eggs and omelettes and sunny-side up eggs, though. Go figure.

Raisins. Just gross. Same for dates. Anything with that weird chewy texture. Ick.

Ketchup. Oh, my gosh, ketchup is foul. We went to the zoo the other day and got french fries and I dipped my fry in my kid's ketchup instead of my ranch by accident. Almost gagged when I put it in my mouth and realized the horrible mistake I'd made. UGH.

What's wrong with fungus? I can't say it sounds any worse than a breakfast of pig belly and chicken embryos. I'll take the fugus please.

Sauerkraut and anything with cinnamon in it

My daughter can smell cinnamon a mile away and starts to dry heave. I thought she was just fussy about the smell but had her tested and she is actually allergic to it. Who knew?
