    What a great idea, thank you. I'm new to MFP and new to doing any exercise!
    I'll go for 60 miles (2 a day)
    Hopefully I'll be able to get a ticker?!
    BUT
    whats the best way to work out how many miles I do?
    Do you count actually steps each day using a pedometer or just miles that you've done walking / running /swimming /on elliptical etc?
    I have an iphone & I'm in the UK - can anyone suggest an app that will help?

    Made my goal in October! I'm going to keep my goal at 70 again this month. That seems to be my magic number. :-D

    By the way, this is *STILL* the best Challenge thread in all of MFPdom!

    I would like to join - This is perfect, I am trying to start up my running again but at the begining of my walk run stage. I run/walk on my treadmill in the mornings - but I also walk in the evenings with a walk buddie (who can't run but we walk at a very good pace.

    I think setting my goal at 60 would encourage me to do more on my own in the morning.

    This morning - I did 2 miles.

    I run, walk and bike every week, but never track my mileage. Hopefully, I'm not hitting it too far off the mark.
