it is awesome! I love it!!0

I tried this last week and fell in with it! It totally cured my pizza cravings, all while letting me control what went into it.
I am thinking about trying a "dessert" pizza soon. Instead of the garlic and cheese, maybe some cinnamon and sugar... that one is still in the planning/thinking stages though. :laugh:0 -

Awwww do I really have to have a stone in order for it to cook right? I realllllly would love to make this
I don't have a stone and mine turned out just fine. I ended up baking it a few minutes longer than what was suggested but it still turned out delicious! :bigsmile:0 -

i made breadsticks out of cauliflower (same or similar recipe to the pizza crust) and my 10 month old went crazy over it. it's a great way to sneak veggies into your kids' diet w/o them even thinking twice!0

There are so many out there to choose from. You can Google it and find several. This is the one that got me hooked: http://www.onegoodthingbyjillee.com/2012/08/the-astonishing-cauliflower-pizza-crust-you-have-to-taste-it-to-believe-it.html
Good luck and enjoy! :happy:0 -
awesome, I've been waiting to hear a *real* testimony on this!
Will have to try it.0 -

I like this idea even more!0 -
Haven't tried this but I have tried mashed cauliflower in place of mashed potatoes= do not want! I think I'd prefer regular pizza crust as well.
If you mash cauliflower and potatoes together you might like it better because you still have the potato taste in there, but less calories and starch than just potatoes. Parsnips or turnips and potatoes are really good mashed together too. Or a combinations of any of the above.0 -

Is it necessary to use full fat mozzerella, or will part skim do?0 -
Anyone have nutrition information on this? I checked both links and didn't see it. Sounds great, but I don't have a gluten allergy and low-carb isn't really a concern for me... so if this is nearly the same calories as a traditional pizza crust there is nothing in it for me. Curious, because I saw the they add a lot of mozzarella to the crust so that immediately makes me think high calorie.0

I LOVE this recipe! I'm a low-carber and we eat this every other week or so. I make mini personal pizzas with it too!
You can use part skim mozz. I've even used the veggie shreds(cheese sub product) to lower the fat and they work too.
I think it works out to about 100 cal less than regular pizza... not low fat by any means, but its low carb.0 -
That looks so delicious right now. Was it hard to make?0

omgoodness that looks so yummy!!
I keep saying I'm going to try this out and it never happens! Guess I'm going to have to get my butt in gear and give it a shot...just bought a head of cauliflower..no time like the present0 -
Thank you for the picture. I have always been extremely skeptical of this cauliflower crust nonsense, but that.... looks shockingly delicious. o_O0

I have tried this many times before, you really can't tell the difference. One word of warning... NO LEFTOVERS. Cauliflower does get more bitter the older it gets, so just eat it all!!!!0
-
Wow!! that's looks good. Can you share the recipe? Thanks0

I used Western Family Mexican Blend Cheese only because that is what my grandson loves. I found a calorie count in MFP for Cauliflower Pizza Crust but I added up my own ingredients and came up with a different amount. I got ( per slice (1/8) 49.625 cal, 1.25 carb, 3.37 fat, 3.75 protien. I used also Generic spice oregano, and great value minced garlic... This if for crust only, OH and I used the whites of Real Eggs.
I put roughly 1.5 cups of cheese for topping (didn't measure because it was for a skinny kid and a few dole pinnaple chunks for his mom. But you can add your own and add that amount to the crust to figure the stats.0 -
Did you put a lot of cheese to mask the Caulfiower taste and make it taste more like pizza? I normally eat pizza w/o cheese and lots of veggies but I feel like you would need cheese on this kind of thing? Did you find that to be true, I guess pizza w/o cheese and crust really wouldn't be pizza tho lol
haha, it'd be imitation pizza. No crust, no cheese. Just veggies, pizza sauce (another veggie) . It'd be vegetarian friendly.
Actually, I've never tried homemade pizza without cheese. Or pizza in general without cheese. Can you ask restaurants to hold the cheese?? I want to try that sometime.
My mom HATES cheese, she knows if there is even on shred in a dish. She orders pizza without cheese all the time! And, it is actually pretty decent0 -
bump - looks delicious!!0
