dont order a $10 dojo sword from one of those late night knife shows and expect it to be made with great craftsmanship0

eating less is not about restriction, it's about making smarter choices all day long every day.0

One good choice at a time
Measure and weigh everything you consume
Stay out of the bakery lol0 -
Every day is a new start. What you did or didn't do yesterday, doesn't matter today.0

Just stick to it - time will pass anyways so may as well keep plugging away.
Little losses add up to big losses over time.0 -
Also that it's a lifestyle change not a diet.. moderation is ok.0

Do not reward yourself with food, you are not a dog.
I LOVE that! I used to do that all the time. I still do once in a while. Wow!0 -
Mine would be.....Slow and Steady wins the race.
Don't try to do it all at once. I just started out with counting calories, moving move and doing mini goals. Big picture was way to much for me to take in.
Every one here has very sound advice. Except for the late night knife show. Did that once and got some nice ones.
Stick with it and good things Will happen!0 -

Even if you go off track, if it's for a day, a week or a month, you need to find your way back. Don't quit.0

Accountablity, log calories, exercise. One day at a time.
This is what has been working for me...even on bad days I log, it reminds me that old habits can sneak back very quickly!!0 -
Don't compare yourself amongst yourself! We're ALL different, we look different, think differently live unique and individual lives. When we compare ourselves with one another, that's not wise for us. What works for some may not work for others--there is no "one size fits all" no matter how dogmatically people will make it sound like it is. Be sincerely and genuinely happy for those who have or are succeeding in this batter of the bulge...BUT DON'T COMPARE YOURSELF WITH THEM, period. If you do...you'll be sorry0

Dont aim for perfection. Make one change each week, rather than trying to go from zero to hero all at once.

I do protein shakes pretty frequently. My current favorite is with canned pumpkin, greek yogurt, ice, pumpkin pie spice, protein powder, almond milk, some water if it is too thick. Measure it up, log it in, enjoy a tasty treat, it is almost like a pumpkin milkshake.0

It has been motivating to me to map out a series of rewards in 5 pound increments. I have a lot of weight to lose, so focusing on one chunk at a time has been helping me. And, no, they are not food rewards0
