Frozen weenies. My grandmother started me on them when I was teething and I never grew out of it. I STILL love frozen weenies. =)

I use to put ketchup on a plate, sprinkle black pepper on the ketchup and then roll up slices of bread into little balls and dip them in the ketchup and pepper and eat them. GAG! I would also dip bananas into miracle whip and eat it. Also GAG. My Dad use to tell me and my brother about his favorite childhood snack...a peanut butter and lettuce sandwich. YUCK!

Take tortillas and put butter on three of them... microwave and they'd get all melty goodness and eat.

Now I don't even want to calculate what damage that is.

Chicken gravy on iceberg lettuce (instead of salad dressing).

I don't even know why. It seemed like a good idea at the time, and was pretty tasty.

Licorice, root beer and pickle juice. The first 2 I honestly think happened because as the oldest I realized the joy of liking something no one else in the house would touch. The pickle juice... well I'm just a little weird

    Spinach pies
    Broiled scallops
    Beets
Pizza with mushrooms & black olives
    Liverwurst on pumpernickle bread

That said my mother was a terrible cook and I was a VERY picky eater. One of those kids who didn't like their food to touch.
God bless the Heinz family. Ketchup served as both a flavor enhancer as well as lubricant so I could muscle my mothers cooking down. :)

Circus Peanuts! Oddly enough, I still sometimes like them.

Oh & Beet Eggs! Still love them but have never made them. I just always hope my grandma will surprise me with them.
